Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

What can you actually do with a science ship that you can't with anything else?

Are they ever going to make the Cardies a playable faction? I'm sure I read they were going to do that.

Does anything have Multi-vector assault mode?

Science vessels can target enemy subsystems. That is to say, you can "target their weapons systems" or "target their shield generators." It can disable them, which is quite useful in some situations. I don't know about Cardassians becoming a playable faction, though I've heard they're considering making the Romulans one. Currently the only factions are Federation and Klingon (though you have to get so far in a Federation character to unlock the Klingon faction). I actually prefer playing the Klingon faction (Gorn captain FTW!), but most of their missions are PvP and Klingon vessels aren't exactly easy to use in combat.

Nothing I know of has multi-vector attack, but I'm sure it will eventually be put in the game.

EDIT: Ah, I see. Cryptic is talking with the players about what new faction they want to be playable. Any faction. Finally, my dream of joining the Borg Collective may come true.

We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming

I checked Memory Alpha and it looks like there might be MVAM in the future.

No word on photonic cannons though.

Seeing as you've already trashed, I would have named it "Sagan's Legacy".

I can always rename my current ship. But I've been playing the Klingon faction lately, I'm getting the hang of it. The key lies in the Bird of Prey's superior maneuverability to pretty much all Federation ships. The Klingon missions aren't really as fun as the Federation ones though. It's always "go in there and destroy a Federation fleet single-handedly," or "beam down to the planet and kill the rebels." Although now that I've spent time as both factions I see why Klingons, and the other races for that matter, don't like the Federation. I mean it's huge, it's at least four, maybe five times the size of the entire Klingon Empire. And it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger. I understand why they all feel threatened by them.

It's a bit late for that. I've literally seen every episode of Star Trek. Every series, every movie.

Let me rephrase that. Redirect your Star Trek nerdiness to someone else.

I've seen all of VOY, most of TNG, and five of the films.
Ho hum.

Anyway, what other Klingon vessels are there than Birds of Prey?

I'm pretty sure their have battlecruisers. If BOPs are frigates and destroyers battlecruisers are capital ships.

But I've only seen all of Enterprise, Voyager and Deep Space 9.

Why don't you redirect your self to another thread then? This is my forum after all.

As for other Klingon ships, I don't really know. I know there are various battle cruisers and carriers, but I don't know which specific ones.

Why Can't I Hold All These Mongols?

I've never seen star trek, not the show and not the movies.

I think the name for a spaceship should always have some kind of musical reference, USS Blue Grass or the HMS Lenon. catcch my drift?
