Create a plausible descendant of homo sapiens after 1.5 billion years of evolution. It does not have to be sapient, nor does it have to be entirely biological. Or biological at all, if you so choose.

Oh I better clarify something: I stated that the descendants did not have to be biological. They could be machines, or simply data existing in some sort of hive mind. They could even be an "ascended" race and exist in a non-corporeal state, perhaps as some kind of quantum wave phenomenon. But obviously we're nowhere near that kind of technology, and since I said 1.5 billion years in the future that means 1.5 billion years from now. If you choose to do a non-biological descendant you will have to describe their evolution prior to their transcendence from biology. Try to be creative, okay?

1.5 BILLION years? Isn't that a little much? We could put in anything.

It is a little much, which is the point of the contest.

i am still in stage-what the hell i can create? I stay in non sapient form, most propably herbivore of some kind,or something with highly specialized diet/habit (my math is filled with sketches of mole-rodet-beaked humans :D )

Name: Plains Devil
Diet: carnivorous
Home planet: Mercury

Over the past year, 1.5 billion people in the colonized several times, then left the solar system, species, torn to pieces, which are more or less similar to the ancestral form.
The first wave of the colonized Mars.
Soon came the Venus and Mercury, but they have not been fully terraformálni so genetically designed people were taken there.
Soon, an epidemic broke out on Earth, a war or other things that set back the Homeworld live in the civilization development.
The once planted there instead of human beings that have entered the path of civilization, but rather transformed rovarfajokra the hunt began.
As a result, radically transformed. Due to the strong gravity forced four feet, and then adapted to this form. The feline physique was extended by the canines out there to prey can break through armor, and appending
Usually hunt in packs, which are managed by females. The males fertilize the females hunt and focus. A female in a helpless puppy brings the world of four years from now will be active.
This species can not develop to, threatens to become extinct due to a disaster.

Sorry.

Have been affected by chance.
I'm a bit hung over, then slipped into this error.
I apologize again.

Bexi@; coincidentially my science textbook is crammed with sketches of Hive Men (mole rat like humans with beak-like incisors), the harpoids I mentioned before (looks like bats with long tails, flat faces, beaks, big (human) ears, tubish noses and talons) and the mer-humans, the pinniped humans, the merfolk, the telechines (seals with flatter faces, vaguely human hands, bloated bodies and elongated canines).

I wasn't going to enter - but dread the thought of losing my Champion Speciator status - and today, during a quiet period at work, I jotted down a couple of quick sketches, then documented it in Google Docs - so here is the text - there's more to come - this entry may take several posts :

homo descendants - 1.505 Billion Years in future

The year 1,505,792,011 (the 11th year, of the 1st Century, of the 2nd millenium of the 90th....)

The Martians are Coming, but VERY slowly, and on foot.

Humanity have long since departed the star system Sol - and exist in many parts of the galaxy as static homo sapiens [maintained using eugenics] or as variations on homo superior, since the dawn of man’s “primitive” industrial age, there have been at least 50 catastrophic collisions of celestial bodies with the Earth, several periods of artificial toxification (i.e. man caused pollution), and about 600 glacial periods, including 1 “snowball earth” episode, and then gradual boiling away of most of its water as Sol grew brighter and hotter.

Mars had been terraformed and colonised around about the year 2200. It now has large bodies of liquid water, and not much in the way of polar ice caps, with the brightened Sol, it is now much warmer on Mars.

During the terraforming of Mars, it was seeded with grasses - the only plants on the planet are descendant of monocot grasses. The only animals were inadvertantly introduced due to lax quarantine procedures in the 5th Millenium, insects and arachnids, ants, flies, mosquitoes.

Unbenownst to many, Russia and Zembabwei left behind, on Mars, an automated human organ factory, Long since forgotten, and buried deep below the Mars' crust and thousands of kilometres away from the edges of tectonic plates, re-inforced with carbon fibres and “artificial diamond concrete”, nuclear powered sub-terrainean chambers. From time to time, automated processes have sent inspection vehicles to the planet’s surface, looking for customers, and broadcasting advertisements across space for heavily discounted retail human organs.

Around the year 1,480,000,000, the machines started malfunctioning, the stockpiled power-source began failing, and living samples of human matter were carried to the surface, as a further enticement to any nearby radio listeners to visit and examine their “wares”.

Further malfunctions caused the machines to bring forth near fully formed humans, and in an attempt to feed them, sub-human homunculi were bred as a food source.

The single continent of the surface of the planet is now covered in a somewhat mono-culture of various wheats and grasses, and monocot descendants there-of, and NO vertebrates.

Over the next 27 million years, the “fully” formed humans, unlearned, and relying on eating insects, grasses, grass seeds and self-replicating aquatic homunculi, evolve into the forms below - there are variations, but essentially the single continent is divided up into grass farms for rearing human-cattle husbanded by more intelligent hum-animals. Man’s “social” imperative instincts mean that all Mars' vertebrates are now “social” animals, only two could be considered sapient. There are essentially only 6 species of land vertebrates, with some regional sub-species, marine descendants are not covered here (Mars does not have great Oceans like Earth had). The two species of parasitic human descandants have culture, and “song” but they couldn’t be considered “sapient”.

Kingdom : Animalia
Phylum : Chordata
Class : Mammalia
Order : Primates
Sub-order : Novaehominidae

Family : Homungula (hoofed men)

Genus : Quadigit (four toed)

Species : pigrabardus bovus (lazy stupid cattle)
Common name : “lacters, quisters [queer-steers] and vilkinders” - produce vast amounts of methane, which the brahmin capture (with a "shit"load of homo-cow patties) by gluing large bladders (from butchered quisters) to the sphincters of their herds, this methane is then used for cooking, and powering their primitive steam power technology. Quisters are the male of the species, they are incapable of reproducing, and must be forced to inseminate lacters, they generally prefer to buggerise one another (who knows maybe they just don't like fat chicks and prefer “big fat man love”)... homosexual brahmin devote much poetry to this phenomena. Vilkinders (veal "kids") when not destined for a tight box to fatten up, and not destined for reproductive services, are castrated - and up until they're about 12-14 years old, they still have some dexterity with their hands - they're trained to milk the lacters - once fully mature, they're put out to pasture, and then sent to slaughter after about a year - for good quality surloins... mmmm surloin... porterhouse... mmm

The body plan of pigrabardus bovus is not ideal for grazing short grass, vilkinder "dairy kids" are also trained and employed cutting hay and feeding the adults of their species (by the brahnins).

Genus : Quindigit (five toed)

Species : foeteoclitella clamoris (loud stink saddle)
Common name : muleto, used as a pack animal and beast of burden, they stink, but brahmins have no sense of smell, the males are especially stinky, and their passing can be heard from metres away (stomping vibrations as their bulk causes the ground to shudder). They are slightly less stupid than lacters and quisters. Young "colts" are strained as slaughtermen to butcher old lacters, quisters, sters (castrated quisters) and vilkids.

Both species of hoofed men are also used in building projects by the brahmins, e.g. lifting stone blocks, earthmoving etc. They are “hoofed” more like camels/rhinos, i.e. large nails and leathery cushioned pads.

Family : Homogurculio (worm men)

Genus : Homogurculio Sapiens

Species : sapiens princeps (sapient leader)
Common name : brahmin worms, they have no sense of taste or smell. Their only means of defence is to coax their muleto into a stampede to crush attackers (usually only ever attacked by soldier-worms). Their hairless pelts are a sickly pale shade of pinprick pink varying to tints of jaundice yellow and pale whitish shades of mould green. They have a distinct odour of ammonia about them. They have the closest re-attempt at civilization on Mars or in the Sol star system for more than half a billion years. They are almost symbiotic with their muleto mounts, they aren't capable of travelling more than 10 or so metres on their pathetic legs – non mobile brahmin are essentially sedentary bloated couch potatos (and they look not unlike potatos).

Species : sapiens militis (sapient warrior)
Common name : soldier-worms, have an excellent sense of smell (compared to brahmins), can detect brahmins and their pack animals from hundreds of metres away. They eat anything, insects, puddle-phoetus, lacters, muletos, festus and brahmins - they generally attack in small family group parties of 8-11, both genders attack. Their skins are blue black. They are the apex predator.

Genus : Homogurculio Pigra

Species : pulex innocuus (harmless flea)
Common name : festus - only eats dead skin, hair and caked faecal matter, but also pus and mucus - infests genital areas of lacters and quisters, and the furry coats of muleto. They have no interest in the detritus of brahmins or soldier-worms. They are generally beneficial to their hosts, and will often fight back infestations of suckers.

Species : pulex vampiris (bloodsucking flea)
Common name : sucker, they are about the size of “mice”. They ingest blood and tissue from their enormous hosts, infests genital areas of lacters and quisters, and the furry hides of muleto. Brahmins are subject to predation by suckers, due to their habit of riding on the rumps of muletos. Artificial attempts to control them often results in the side effect of also killing off the beneficial festus. Their favourite blood source, a “delicacy” is from the erect todgers of horny male muletos. Outcasts from the group often encyst themselves within the vaginas of female muletos and heffers.

The festus and suckers are constantly at war with one another, with crucial battles taking place in and on the todgers (genitalia) and in the pubic hair of muletos. They do have a primitive language, and some battles are recorded in their ancestral folk histories.

Family : Factitius (artificial)
Genus : Homunculi Pigra (stupid homunculus)

Species : homunculi cibi (food homunculus)
Common name : puddle-phoetus, main source of protein for brahmins and soldier worms. Brahmin’s farm them in their aquaculture “projects”. They eat algae, aquatic insect larvae and wild rice seeds (this is a wheat descendant, and not closely related to Industrial Earth’s “rice” crops). These creatures are descended from the homunculus bred in the sub-terrainean crypts tens of millions of years earlier. Their habitat is restricted to fresh water. Superficially (and not co-incidentally), they resemble human phoetuses. Pickled in brine, they are a favourite staple of the brahmin diet - travellers carry bags of them in watertight bladders made from muleto testicles.

Picture Below :

The blue-black dude left/foreground is a "soldier-worm" - he's the scout of his family - he's about to give the signal to attack the Brahmin .
The red pelted beast in the middle is a "muleto" - they're not fussy at all, this one is oblivious that its crapping in the middle of the road.
Riding atop the muleto is a brahmin, he's scoffing a pickled homunculi (floating image with arrow above indicates what puddle-phoetuses look like when alive). The way Brahmins like to eat their pickled-homunculi, is to break the soft cranium, and suck up the brain, then suck all the pickled innards out thru the neck). This Brahmin's name is Creed and he's off to visit his brothers Nickelback and Incubus (I hate the brahmins, and I hate bands like Creed even more!), but he'll never get there, for today he's going to feed a family of 9 Soldier-worms.
Under the magnifying glass at the left is a "festus", hungrily schlurping oils and faecal matter from the muleto's arse hairs.
Under the other magnifying glass middle/bottom, is a "sucker" gorging on blood from the muleto's penis.
Behind the wooden railing/barrier, a pair of lacters, and you can just make out there suckling vilkinders. The lacter to the left, has just become aware of the presence of the Soldier-worm, she's very wary, and is about to give her alarm call and bolt for cover - but it will be too late for the Brahmin, for he can barely hear, let alone smell.
