Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I would like to point out that the research part of Dixon's site is empty, as it has been since the site's creation nearly 10 years ago.

I was referring to Dixon you just posted too fast and it interrupted the Dixon part; I have no idea.

Let's invite Dougal Dixon here.
Sure, why not? somehow from the context I imagine your post with an ironic, almost sarchastic tone, but I don't think inviting him here would be that bad.

I think he was the one who got many here into speculative biology/evolution in the first place.
We have a discord. If you want to join, simply message me, Icthyander or Sphenodon.

Don't think the majority of this site is scientific enough for them.
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

Maybe it will generate more scientific interest if we have one of the founding fathers here?

Or get more decent armchair scientists here overall, so the founders are attracted?
Not meaning to be dismissive, but...

I dunno, I called Dixon's early future-human thing "utterly, utterly, utterly absurd".

If he ever comes here, I hope he isn't offended. :/

A hard mathematical figure provides a sort of enlightenment to one's understanding of an idea that is never matched by mere guesswork.

I'm sure he'd sit and listen to critique!

If he still had he beard site up we could find him.

More accurately Dixon doesn't mix with science, we need to pseudo it up. Atleast 80s Dixon.

I once had an email conversation with Bill Amend. Only americans should know who that is. And if they don't, they need to read the funnies sometime. Like now.
