Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Well, just be glad you guys don't live with an entire family of creationists with you being the only atheist. Sundays usually consist of me refusing to go to church, my family yelling at me, and then yelling at me for about two hours when they get home.

And, this past Sunday, my dad actually threatened to kick me out of the house. Oh, the life of an atheist in a predominantly creationist community.

Why is "moral fibre" associated with Christianity?

You can't really judge people like that.

Anyway, the persona you have on SE is not likely to be the same as the real you. Probably just a facet.

Considering he was raised with a bundle of Creationists I'm not surprised his morality is one similar to what you tie in with Christianity.

Oh Fine.

Religion is more, i would say, about upbringing, then exposure to other people, then your personality.
Would you say that's right?

Anyway. If you see a creationist, and they repeat the same thing after a purely cold refutation, leave them to fester.

I'm confused by your use of the word "then".

Personally I don't [or refuse to] understand why religious (Christian bible thumpers specifically) people care if there's an atheist in their house, do they think that God is going to damn them to Hell too? Does that mean they should walk on the other side of the road when coming across an Atheist? Refuse to get on a bus if one is sitting on it? If they're really that worried about it why don't they just interact with the heathen and then ask Jesus for forgiveness... Ultimately it seems they're just trying to convert through bullying and inferior treatment. Interesting how ideas reproduce.

I would assume that Canis' father is simply worrying for his soul, but when he threatens to kick Canis out of the house I wonder if it's just hate. He may be an atheist but he's still the guy's son.

'Then' was used to indicate declining importance. :)
