Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

OK, so i know there are alot of realistic pokemon things out there, but i wanted to make my own. I'm going to make realistic pokemon, and any requests are fine. I'm starting with Johto starters, my favorites.

Meganium: Meganiums are rare, reclusive, sauropod dinosaurs that live in the dense south american jungles. The have a symbiotic plant that grows on their neck mainly, but extends up. The plant merges with the nervous system, and on the neck of the juveniles and adolescents, called Chikorita and Bayleef respectively. In the first stages, the plant is just developing a leaf on the head of the host. The leaf gets energy from it's advantage point and the nervous fusion allows a young meganiums to extend the vines and grab food or fight off predators. Adults have nitrogen glands in thier thraots that can cause plants to grow better, currents of airtraveling thorugh hollow "antennae". The flowers are look like one petal, and all six look like a full flower around a megaznium adults neck. On adults, they dont need vines for defense cuz they're SO FRIGGIN BIG.

That's the first one

Projects:
Amammalia: A strange place where mammals didn't make it and the land is, once again, dominated by archosaurs.

Oceanus: An endless sea dotted with islands, reefs, and black holes. Literally endless, literal black holes.

I was actually doing a similar project on another site: with a massive flying descendent of endothermic varanids as large bipedal pterosaur analogues as the Charlizard, massive aggressive lungfish descendent as Gyarados, large freshwater predators and the Bulbasaur as rhynchosaur descendents, bulky omnivorous reptiles with a strange symbiotic relation with a type of plant.

Well there is another Pokemon project in general spec, Pokemon Realistic Approach as well as yours Fakey but I think Jason's taking a different view on the same topic, like other repeated themes.
