| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! O.O No offense, but I have a hard time understanding some of that, because there is no punctuation marks. The first part, if it is a question, we're still deciding about the origins of this world. Alternative Timeline seems to be the best choice. For the tools, maybe the human culture here is set on a feudal or castle age, but in which gunpowder was discovered earlier. Maybe a fusion between Feudal European and Chinese civilizations. Creatures like the Lao-Shan Lung, Fatalis, and Shen-Moran (Elder Dragons) are just too bizarre to fit into any categories. They also have massive size, and attacks that suppass human comprehension. I would like to see them as gods. Not truly animals, but mythological beings created when people first setled here. Lynians are oviously sentient, as they can perform various tasks that no other animal can, such as knowing how to correctly use tools and aid hunters in their quests. Placing them into the Primate Pelagi family would be to predictible for my taste, and they are also very cat-like, so I would like to place them as very specialized type of Carnivore Pelagi. I would be glad to have you in this project, but it's UT's decision. Not mine. |
Greetings young life form! Procyon Lotor at your service.

UT, any updates? I'd love to see results since I'm a fan of Monster Hunter myself... So are you including the bird-wyvern lineage? I dunno what they are called in English since in Korean they are called Joe-Ryeongs |
