| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Britain at least did care, it's just in 1938 we were in no position to fight, since the 1920's Britain's military had been reduced again and again and there was massively powerful disarmerment movement. We were not ready when the war started, which is why the Germans took France. Selling out the Czech was to buy time, at the end of the day you have to consider your own nation's safety first. I don't think I'll ever quite understand Korea's hostility to Japan. I suppose it's one of those long hatreds that never quite go away. |

We don't hate the Scottish, but they irrationally resent our rule. And Cornwall is a few thousand people. nothing. And Wales hasn't minded since Edward I. And France has more nukes than us. |

Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea. "It is the old wound my king. It has never healed." | |

Cornwall and Wales? I know Cornwall has a similar language, but that's no reason to resent them. |

Cornwall has no borders with Wales, but then you don't care about that. It's Devon that's got a long time rivalry with Cornwall. When Devon got their own flag the Cornish were furious. |

Then what was the place that launched Welsh from catapaults? I know it had "Corn" in the name. |

1. The U.S. and Canada share the largest border of any other two countries in the world. 2. Benjamin Franklin was a disgusting pervert. 3. The United States is just plain better than everywhere else *ducks and covers head*. |

@Fakey - it's the city of Chester, in the county of Chesire, that still has the "catapult the Welsh after midnight" rule. And @Spugpow; I'll accept that America is better than Wales, but we still have the best flag. A dragon, dude. A freakin' dragon. |

Ireland was the first country to invent a pattern recognisable as tartan (919 BCE) Ireland had a system, under the Brehon Laws, that was fairly similar to a nationalised health service (the injurer had to care for the injured) Oliver Cromwell's visit to Ireland was known as the Mallacht Cromail - the curse of Cromwell. |
