Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Well I've heard from other Brits that you shut down the schools when only a couple centimeters of snow are on the grounds.

We kept going... too much if you ask me. <_<
Only trains went off here.
And matches.
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

I've been to london, trust me if you think your trains are bad, you haven't seen sydney. They're out of order almost every holiday. Every.Single.Fucking.Holiday.

Last time I was in London was early 1972, the trains seemed okay... In Newcastle (my hometown) our suburban trains were mostly still Steam!...

As for being a Nerd? I'd say never.... I'd fight to the death for my honour or my mates... I always preferred draghts or chess to "footie", but preferred alcohol and fisticuffs to cola / coffee and "dungeons and dragons"...

Ridden big loud motorcycles for 30 years....

Geek - yes... Nerd no...

When I was a mature age student, in 1991 (age 29) , I asked a computer nerd (I was already a budding technocrat) how to simultaneously IRC and FTP in a telnet window, and he could only respond in stutters and unintelligible nerdspeak... Apologies to any nerds out there, but despite being a non-"jock" - I did bully and harrass genuine nerds - and this inarticulate f-ckstick who couldn't speak HUMAN english aroused all my anti-Nerd sensibililties... apologies to nerds (Vivian is my favourite Young Ones character)

Oh, well now in london most trains are between 3 and eighteen minutes late.

Or more. Umm...

Anyway, i don't really know many 'genuine nerds', and those i guess i know i don't really get along with so don't talk to.

Oh my God i love the Young Ones! Vivian is so funny as well as Neil and his lentils :D

Also i have a very long term nerdy friendly rivalry with one of the more popular and attractive girls at my school where we try and beat each other in every subject and just address each other as 'loser' all the time

Do bears crap in the woods?
-I draw aliens and robots and spend free time coining latin names for Geonians
-I tried to learn latin at one point, to see the literal translation of scientific names of creatures. I do know some but there are a lot more fish to fry.
-I have obscenely long points on some of my pencils.
-I sharpen relentlessly.
-I crack jokes that could make the deceased roll their eyes.
-I play the literal card all too often.
-I found transformers, halo, gears of war and castle crashers epic.
So there you go.

I finished setting up a Regionless DVD player to watch Sakura Wars on the TV, just finished watching the finale of Star Trek: Voyager and when I figure out whether to watch Babylon 5 or Farscape next and have read Voyager's TV Tropes page I'll be playing original Half Life.

More evidence in favour I believe.
