Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Registration is free and instantaneous.

I bet that most of you have seen that the way technology is going, people will start replacing lost hands or legs with robotic ones. What do you think about this?

Human brain's got much more redundancy and specifity than a computer. 'Viruses' for it would be hard to engineer.

Connecting yourself to the internet... how would you do all the keys and things to type? If you just want the memories, the data will have to reformatted into proteins and impulses. And if you put too much in your brain, it won't work properly.
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

Well lets just hope they create better data storage and a slowed down sense of time by 2020.

And the ability to format memories and computer signals in to each other? Not by 2020.

And i don't want to have the internet in my brain. Most of it is trash.

So you don't want to be on SE without having to waste time typing?

Typing lets you think through what you're saying.

Plus, what happens if you don't know how to spell a word in your mind?

In your mind? How would you go about doing that?

And i dunno about you, but i don't think in progressions of letters.
