Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Just post the films you love ^_^
Especially ones which make you think...

Here are some which i deffinately recommend:

The Fight Club
Just because it has a plain name doesn't mean it isnt good. This is possibly one of the best films ever made, it has so many twists and turns that it warps your mind
Best Quote: " The first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club"

Gladiator
Another masterpiece this is truly amazing in its scale and the acting in it is superb. The battle scenes are incredible and the soundtrack is just brilliant i normally listen to it.
Best quote: "Now we are free"

I am Legend
Yes it had its critics but the beginning is just beautiful and Will Smith is just perfect for the role. If ever a film made me sad it was this one simply because of the pitiful lonely existence that is Robert Nevilles.
Best quote: "If anyone is out there?"

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest

Another really sad film although hilairious at times. This really hit hard on me since my Grandma had been in a mental asylum. Jack Nicholson gives an excellent performance.
Best quote: "Could you turn the music down?"

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
A thoroughly enjoyable remake. More for the fans than people new to the franchise it's a pretty straight retelling of the early episodes, but you can feel the slightly more optimistic tone throughout. Shinji's still a little bitch, but to a much lesser extent. Rei seems a little less fraked up too.
Best Quote: "Evangelion Unit 1, move out!"
Welcome to Dongmakgol
A story of several North Korean and South Korean soldiers, and a US pilot who come together in a isolated village that's barely aware Korea's independent, let alone split in two.

Not films exactly, but I recommend the Sharpe and Hornblower TV specials.
Living Fossils

Fósseis Vibos: Reserva Natural

34 MYH, 4 tonne dinosaur.
T.Neo

Not seen either of those films. Silmido and Taegukgi are two other good Korean films. Silmido is about the Second Korean War and the ROK training a group of criminals to kill Kim Il-sung in retaliation for a DPRK attack on President Park Chung-hee.

Taegukgi is First Korean war film about two brothers from the south. The oldest is tries to become a hero so he can send his younger brother home.

Oh and don't bother with that Titanic thing. Dull as dishwater. They could have told exactly the same story on the Lusitania, only with Germans torpedoing it rather than bumping into some ice.

It's difficult to say, really. However, I'm going to have to go with...
District 9
Where the Wild Things Are
Most of Miazaki's films (I probably misspelled that)
Most of Pixar's films
The Hangover
You may be a king or a lil' street sweeper, but sooner or later, you'll dance with the reaper!

I actually prefered the "Does this not amuse you?! Is this not what you came for?!" quote.

My favorite movie of all time:

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

I love New York. You can pop out of the Underworld in Central Park, hail a taxi, head down Fifth Avenue with a giant hellhound loping along behind you, and nobody even looks at you funny.

-Last Olympian, Rick Riordan.

HELICOPTER. It is a HELICOPTER. You call that thing a 'whirly-bird' one more time, I'll beat you SO bad, your sister's gonna wish she never gave birth to you.

Are you plausible?

In addition to what has already been said, by no means complete, and in no particular order:

Bicentennial Man
Matchstick Men
Some Like It Hot
The Manchurian Candidate (both versions)
Willow
Back to the Future trilogy
The Hudsucker Proxy
Kurosawa's films (Seven Samurai, Hidden Fortress, etc.)
Serenity
March of the Penguins
Batman Begins / The Dark Knight
