Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Well I remember when we spent a month or two learning how to capture the essence of James Bond and compress it into 2 minutes of prancing about.

Over half of the actual James Bond books are description. If you cut out the descriptions of girls, guns, cars etcetera, you have about ten pages.

I reckon you're bluffing.
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

@Lamna, well that sounds like a crap topic and as for 'prancing about', maybe you just weren't good?

Sounds like you had a bad teacher, no offense, you guys probably didn't even learn what emotional memory, yielding, blocking, other laws of improvisation such as no wimping, what 'the spine' of a performance is, it sounds like you guys just did plays that had already been written in 3 years

We didn't do plays, no that would have been relevant to acting, which is a career. We improvised everything. On a good day we were given a scenario and had to put a story together to go with it. THREE YEARS!!

Improvisation is incrediblly fun,and being given a scenario and an entire lesson/period to make a story from it isn't improvisation

Improvisation helps imganation, spontaneity and is generally team-building.

I like improvisation given other people to improvise around.

But that wasn't what GCSE drama offered, so.

We did that for our final exam. An improvised scene.
