Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

So I read all of Douglas Adams's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Required reading, really. Great series. He died before he could write a sixth one, but I'd accepted it.

But a random google search brought to my attention that someone ELSE had written a sixth book, called And Another Thing...

I was just wondering if I was a bit late to the party. Does anyone consider this part of the actual series?

I love New York. You can pop out of the Underworld in Central Park, hail a taxi, head down Fifth Avenue with a giant hellhound loping along behind you, and nobody even looks at you funny.

HELICOPTER. It is a HELICOPTER. You call that thing a 'whirly-bird' one more time, I'll beat you SO bad, your sister's gonna wish she never gave birth to you.

It was good. Of course not of good as the first few books, but he managed to write in a style remarkably similar to Adam's.
