Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Hullo chaps and chappettes. See bottom for tl:dr version.

As you may or may no know I like to create alternate history. Currently I'm working on something called Pax Germania. Long story short, the German Empire wins. A lot.
Below is the current world map, a map of South Africa and link to all I've done in the timeline.

Stuff and so on

As you can see, what we call Zimbabwe is part of South Africa. And it's not all that happy about it. You see after Germany conquered all of British Africa, Anglo-Africans mostly left their homes. Some for Britain, some to Australia and many to Rhodesia. Rhodesia came to be seen as a refuge for Anglo-Africans and by 2010 it has about 500,000 living there. And they are fed up with South African rule, as are the Shona and Ndebele who are not allowed to vote by the South Africans, though the Rhodesians poll them for local elections and treat them like real votes.

Anyway, it looks like Rhodesia's going to try and break away, and South Africa's not going to like that.

I've been wanted to do a live storyline for this and am looking for a writer to help me tell the story. I'll give you information on events, and you'll write them up into a story. I'm willing to pay 500 Imagination Pounds for each story (765 Imaginary Dollars).

tl:dr Write news stories for me.

Dinosaurs eat man, woman inherits the Earth.

I'll do it. I actually took a journalism class and spent five days at Indiana University learning about journalism.

It's not German really. The Germans probably won't come into it for a while though they, the Portuguese and the British will have prominent roles as this unfolds.

EDIT: Thanks Mr Lupus. I look forward to seeing what you can produce.

Ok this is what I have so far.

Transvaal Provincial Police pursued Jacob Dube, a suspected member of Umkhonto we Sizwe (Black freedom fighters/terrorists.) across the Limpopo River into Beitbridge where he was arrested by the British South African Police/Rhodesian Provincial Police*.

A heated discussion started between TPP officers and BSAP ones over who would have jurisdiction. Shots were fired, and two BSAP officers were killed, 3 more wounded, 1 in critical condition. 2 TPP officers were also wounded.

The TPP managed take Mr Dube into their custody and left Rhodesia.

*They call themselves the BSAP, as does the Rhodesian government and it is the name most people use when referring to them. The South African government calls them the Rhodesian Provincial Police.

If you need more info ask me.

L'évolution Spéculative est moi

I wish my (good) computer wasn't currently out of order, I could help out with some photoshop. I could make it look like an actual newspaper, complete with pictures. But I suppose I can still do some writing, if you still need some help.
We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming
