| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. But can you play games with swords? No, because it's now known as Kinect. May I refer you to this? http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=294 |

We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar. "The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming Tree That Owns Itself

The Wii is honestly not as bad as everyone thinks it is. With the new MotionPlus, they have the whole motion gameplay nailed, as far as I'm concerned. Sony and Microsoft can try to compete, but the only thing that's better with their systems is graphics, which I don't think will matter much in the long run. Nintendo had probably the show at E3 this year, end of story. Microsoft and Nintendo swapped places. Nintendo appealing to hardcore fans, and Microsoft shooting for casual gamers. |

Casual gaming on the xbox worries me...Microsoft should just stick to their guns its what they do best. And as per usual Sony fails to impress... |

What I think, is that EVERY company has to appeal to casual gamers somewhat. More of a market. Nintendo is the master at this, and decided that the fans needed some love. Microsoft, on the other hand, is nothing BUT hardcore gaming. They needed to branch out, or lose business to Nintendo. |

No Xbox and Nintendo normally coexist because they have radically different markets and neither need to branch out or it will just end badly. See Nintendo needs to stick with redone arcade games and japanese to western conversions for it does them really well and let microsoft slog out the genre defining games such as Halo and Mass effect. |

So you're saying Nintendo shouldn't make fantastic games? There can be genre defining games on the Wii as well. Super Mario Galaxy. Fantastic games. Completely reworked the platforming genre for the better. Nintendo doesn't have many M rated games because it's essentially a family system. The only M rated ones I can think of off the top of my head are Madworld and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. However, that doesn't mean they games it puts out aren't original and extremely fun to play through, even at the expense of gore and shooting things. |

Metal Fucking Gear Solid- Perfect storyline. Halo- Guy kills aliens, no real plot. Mass Effect- Space guy with a good plot. Too many storyline branches for my tastes. |

I wouldn't say Halo has no plot, it's just not really noticed. As a cutscene-skipper, i don't know much about it either. |

Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea. "It is the old wound my king. It has never healed." | |

Are you accusing Halo of no plot! the cutscenes are like proper movie bits Yeah MGS is good what i mean by genre defining games is when it gets really big and influential such as halo. I l=prefer it when Wii sticks to what it does best and so does Xbox. Ps3 on the other hand should just bugger off and give the rights to God of war and Killzone to Microsoft

That's the plot, Master Chief Petty Officer John kills aliens. I admit I do like Halo as a art medium, namely machinima. I think that's one of Nintendo's mistakes. They created an enemy in Sony, all because the President of Nintendo at the time got greedy or something. I read about it in an article at GamesRadar.com. I also think Nintendo should buy Konami and Sega. That way, Sega can recover from the Dreamcast and Konami can try motion control. |

That video is just multiplayer. I'm afraid it doesn't reflect Halo as a game. |
