Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

First: If you just want to talk about it, we got a thread about that.

Second: If not, what do you want to spec about?

Ahh if you have not seen the episode it is about how there were a species of dinosaur which was sapient and 65 million years ago they predicted that the world was going to end and so they went into a very long hibernation, in the mean time mammals took over and so the world carried on like in our timeline...
Until humans disturb the dino men and they want to retake earth, starting with Wales??? of all the places :P

They aren't just in Wales. Previously, Silurians have been under the sea, beneath England etc.
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

It's beautiful, yes, but I wouldn't want to start would take over in Europe of all places. They've pretty much shown they can handle any sort of crap a massive military can give them, look at both World Wars.

Start in Africa, not much resistance, easy to build up inertia, and let's face facts, for some of the countries it could be an improvement.

They didn't really have a choice, being under Wales and having their tubes going up there and all that.

Yes i think in the diplomatic talks they plan to give the silurians parts of the sahara
But imagine how humanity would take that, would it lead to war or a new era of peace?

In some countries, like Britain and the other tolerant ones, it would be fine. But in others, it wouldn't go down so well.

The 'other species' can solve their crises, if they let them help.

Humans are terrified of the unknown. Something could go down big in the first few years.

On the other hand, we have a second reaction to the unknown, study it. If nothing goes wrong in the first few years, we could have a peaceful relationship with them. The econuts would love their tech, sci-fi nerds get to live out their fantasy of meeting an alien, who knows? We might give up on the 'Reptoid Nation' idea and let them naturalize into our already existing nations.

Then again, KKK, Black Panthers, you name it, tolerance would always be a problem.

((Wow, for a breif moment, I had faith in humanity))
