Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

the ediacharids were a group of organisms, multicellular organisms who lived before the cambrian explosion. unfortunately the information says that they disappeared when animals and plants appeared on the planet 554 millions of years ago.

so this is the point, what could have happened if they didnt become extinct??

I thought this was something related to the Ediacaran, not the Ediacharids. So can you change it to "Ediacharid Evolution?"

Interestingly, I was thinking about this a few weeks ago. They could have a chance maybe up to the Silurian for a high niche, but after that the only niche I can see them taking is a bottom-clinging filter feeder who lives in the Abyssal zone, not even the Benthic zone.
