Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Is it all just "If this species had never blank how would these species blank?" and "What if we had an extra continent with blank features and only these animals got on it?"
I'd like to start some forms from scratch but this is looking less like a suitable place for that.
*The single cell eras are really all about the chemical backflips cells can pull off so I'm not much interested in that. If the larger stuff uses gas exchange for electron replenishment I don't care what the steps of respiration are.

Bexi, the early rhinos were horse-like. Why did you recently become fascinated with them? Just stop them from growing larger and they would still be horse-like.

And horses never competed with notungulates.

What do rhinos have to do with starting organisms from scratch?
You could also put this in the Habitable Zone depending if this is on Earth or not.

If it's not on Earth then it's not an alternate evolution and should be put in the Habitable zone.

If you're doing some crazy thang wit' Earth then just go for it here.
Oh Fine.
