Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Adolescent Posts: 347 Group: Members Member #290 Joined: Mar 26, 2010 Gender: Male Area of expertise: Xenobiology Nationality: polish	What our descedants looks like? and its a open project here is the time line for early XXI: - 21-28 December 2012: the seven day pulage, human population droped from 6000000000 to 100000000 persons disaewas stoped and accidentaly the cure/vaccine for AIDS was invented -2013-2015:during the prevention to extinction the wavers are ingenired, the waver is a post humans that lays eggs, thousants of eggs and this eggs are later revriten to be homo sapiens only a few are becoming new wavers -2015:the creation of Domestic Human(Homo familiaris) they are selled in pet shops as very inteligent pets, however how something may be pet while it can speak with human languge, are inteligent as humans etc. -2015-2020:the colonisation of mars and venus so anybody interested?

I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti."	Yes. Humans mate for beauty rather than strength. If you place two women in a room, I'll most likely choose the prettier one. Most all straight males will do this. Females humans also mate for beauty, but strength is also taken into account. So if you're pretty and strong, women will take you. From an evolutionary standpoint that is. In reality, it's much much much more complex. Basically, humans would not mate with any of the new humans. I could see some aberrant forms of interspecies sex taking place (hey, there was a man who did it with a horse. He's dead now). But sex between each new species of human would not be the norm. As for the time frame for the first phase, I think you'd better expand it. Our understanding of genetic technology isn't very good yet. Compared to what we could achieve, we're living in a stone age. That plague, while it may inadvertently help advance our tech slightly, won't cause us to be extremely advanced. I'd say the earliest time for the domestic human would be 2100 and the wavers around 2180. BTW, for the manned Mars colonization, I'd say 2070 would be the best time for that. We're not going to send a manned mission to Mars until the 2030's. As for Venus colonization, no earlier than 2400. It's too hot and toxic of an environment right now and it would take quite a number of years for our tech to advance enough to even think about terraforming Venus. As for the ethics of the domestic humans, everyone would be up in arms. The constitutions of pretty much every 1st world country strictly prohibit slavery. Which, in escence, is what the domestic human is. Now, a GEd primate is fine as a pet. I could envision a future scientist GEing a smaller and more docile version of a chimpanzee or just a less rambuctious spider monkey.
