Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Registration is free and instantaneous.

New code: see the "quote" button. To the left there will be a checkbox. Check it to do multi-quotes, instead of quoting just one person.

Yeah, thanks!
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

When multi-quoting feel free to just delete everything in the quote box at the bottom.

I don't know, but I don't think you can.

I want to lose most of the themes (but themes like eVolution and Hollow Ichigo have enough special features for them to stay) and replace them with themes that begin with "SE", specially made for the forum. In Wills special test board (not giving you the link as he posted it on the Darwinian Lounge) he made another theme, with different shades of green. I'm going to rewrite it and put the theme here. Having a browser add-on that allows you to easily disable and re-enable themes really helps there.

I thought of a way to avoid doing 2 quotes when multi-quoting. The post that you press the "quote" button you don't check it, so it doesn't appear twice.

AND... I made a new theme! Check out SE Canopy! It's based on a theme that Will was working on (found it from a link in the Darwinian Lounge, can't give link). It's a lime-green-ish theme, based on the upper parts of a canopy. I think that there were supposed to be plant images, but since his photobucket account was deleted I guess we'll never know.

I still want Pokeball back. I alternated between it and Hollow Ichigo. If it doesn't come back, I'll leave the site, for good.

I will do no such thing. Pokeball or I leave, your choice.

Leave up the variety. I'm the only person who uses Pokeball, so it doesn't matter if they look similar. Starting at noon Saturday you'll have 48 hours to put up the theme. If not, then you lose one of the best members on the site.

I'll replace Red Fire with Pokeball, after all their very similar, besides the colors and logo. I'll also remove ZB Midnight, due to its similarity to Black Water.

Are you plausible?

Hmm... I miss Red Fire. That's what I used. I liked a flag raptor looking back at me, and not a pokeball... :(

Fakey, sulking is not the answer. ;)
Emotional blackmail don't work on us hard lads.
