Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Okay then, here's the new list

Latin Names
First partSecond Part
Post (future)zoic (era)
Meta (after)cene (I think it's time)
Neo (new)gene

Postozoic, Metazoic, Neozoic: taken
Postocene, Neocene: taken
Neogene: taken

You could do the Metacene (after time), meaning after humans.
You could do Postogene (future something).
You could do Metagene (after something).

Well then I only see Neolithic because the 3 "neo's" are taken, but you don't want an intelligent species.

Probosuid Sylvestris

Posted Image

Holocene etinction left many niches free.Origin of this Hog descendant is unknown, but most acceptable version is that ancestors of this beast were hyppo like Hogs, which lives in North africa.

This great Browser is one of the biggest land mammals of Europe, and most common probosuid, which lives from coasts of Atlantic ocean to wast siberian taiga.

Probosuid Sylvestris is smaller than todays probosceans, its only 2m tall in shoulders and its about 3m long, but old males could be bigger. They have 4 tusks, upper pair is bigger.Their cryptic, browncolor allows them to hide in forests.Winter coat is warmer, longer and thicker

Lives in all types of european forests, from subtropicals to taiga,in asia lives only in taiga.Important part of food is leaves, branches and in cooler regions even grass.

They live in small herds, from 3 to 20 individuals.Pregnancy is 14 months long, and after that female gives birth to one,or in rare ocassions two young.

uncolored version

The neolithic is a segment of the stone age...
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

Giganatiade
nickname:Duck of doom,Dinogeese

After massive extinction event there was almost all bigger herbivores niches free, and many small animals with bigger ambitions evolve to fill this niches. Some of this animals were some specis of waterfowls, which takes some niches of grazers and giant browsers. The biggest evolves from unknown species of goose and with its size resembles extinct dinosaurs.THey are the biggest birds, that ever live. They are slow browsers, eats leaves and branches.Smallest species is about 3 m tall and biggest about 6 m tall and height over 30 000 kg.They live in many species in warmer parts of eurasia and america, with few species in africa. There is strong sexual dimorphism, males are usually smaller with colourfull crests and females bigger.

after i return,i post here some species

When I read Kinkajou I thought it would of been similar to the Antarctic kinkajous of the Postozoic. Glad it's not.

A predator Kinkajou would be an interesting take.

maybe i change its descendants to other procyonid.I have ideas about their old world analogues, descendants of some civets. Some civets could evolve into canid like forms

i create some type species of all that familis

Could pigs evolve into fully herbivorous forms?I have ideas about ,,suidallos,,-family of pigs, that are analogues of buffalos and rhinos
