Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

I bid you all here at Speculative Evolution Forums greetings. I've always been a fan of speculative evolution and its trappings; this is my first official attempt, so bear with me.

What if, rather than early man discovering fire and claiming the Earth his dominion, early parrot did this? What sort of strange form would this bird take, and how would its culture and history differ from humans?
You may be a king or a lil' street sweeper, but sooner or later, you'll dance with the reaper!

Since most parrots are mainly herbivorous maybe they could discover how to grow their own food first instead of fire. They could then concentrate around their 'farms'.

I this it's perfectly possible for this to happen. Kea's are incredibly intelligent and can work together.

I also have sapient parrots called Parrotoids in my Mission Wild Future project, having the parrotoids in a Stone-age like stage. They have evolved 1 or 2 clawed fingers on their wings which are used as manipulators in combination with their feet.
