Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Indeed, that is what I meant. Our brains are just limiting us so we don't break.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that's why many monkeys and great apes have hands that are less dexterous than ours, even if they're capable of being just as agile in the fingers. But because their brains are wired to be stronger, rather than smoother, they can't do the same motions but can easily crush/rip things we can't.

Well that makes sense, chimps are roughly our size or smaller but they could rip a man apart.

People's 'hysterical strength' comes from over-reaching the limits inbuilt for our muscles. When hit by lightning, it's your muscles which through you metres around the place- even the the word muscle comes from 'little mouse' hee hee.

Silvferbacks can be eight times stronger than people, orang-utans five times, etc. Unless we get angry.
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.
