Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

A tree of albian life? Ideas about the speices? For an alien planet it has quite earthlike life? How do the anamals work from a biologic standpoint?

Is there a site on Albian life?
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

Is this just a 'discuss this life' topic?

I think so. sam999 is an equal-opportunity speccer, not to mention very proactive in his endeavors.

Well, let's have at it, then:

I'm not really interested in making a tree of life, as I'm sure it already exists out there somewhere. Google might just be our friend in that case.

As far as ideas about the species go, they seem fleshed out, and I'll chalk their neoteny up to stylistic interpretation. But because I have no information about their environment I don't have much to add.

Biologically, I'd assume that they eat and reproduce, though there may be some information I lack that points to differing life plans.

They seem to react to stimuli. I assume they respire and move to food sources.

They are bipedal and radially symmetrical, suggesting some sort of locomotion.

I guess they move by putting one foot forward and then swinging the other in front.
