Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

How about posting our Spore Planets here, and compilate them in an Encyclopedia-like thing showing the "vast galactic discoveries" made by the members of the forum?

I think it's a shame that they didn't have a "fish" stage. I mean, it's a bit of a leap from 2-D cell to 3-D land creature.

I have several fact-files of creatures I made. could post them, if you don't mind poor pictures and laughable descriptions.

Are you plausible?

I was looking forward to the fish level too. I know they got rid of it because a) it seemed so similar to the creature stage and b) the programming had issues with the 3D environment. Honestly, I would have rather seen them tackle the 3D problems and have two similar levels.
Take a look at my exobiology subforum of the planet Nereus!
