| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Not wise? Huh... |
|
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea. "It is the old wound my king. It has never healed." | |

Holbenilord: From the Wast Pacific, Just below the Equator, it has been moving towards the centre of the Pacific Ocean. I will bear all advice in mind, including JohnFaa's. I thought after considering the advice he gave to change things a bit, like include that extinction. Edited by KayKay, Nov 22 2009, 04:30 PM.

Ah, ok. So it's really very tropical, and we can expect lots of small reptiles. |

Yep. There are a lot of reptiles, as well as snake-like reptiles there are lizard-like reptiles also and the bee sticks. Before the K-T extinction, there were also tongue-shooting species and gecko-like species. |

Did tongue-shooters die out? What a pity. |

Hm... maybe sometimes soon I might post some updates. It always takes me so long to get scans done though, tweaked, reduced, saved, uploaded, it all takes time in the end so I can only show snippets. I've only done about half the continent for the Paleocene, that's all I've got for the Cenozoic. I might start-up the old thread on it. The stories might be fewer and cover less life, but I'll try to give a glimpse. Just no guarantee it'll be soon. Edited by KayKay, Nov 26 2009, 03:26 PM.
