| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. This is a topic on all the worlds of Nintendo, Konami, and Sega. We will look at the biology, evolutionary history, and then post drawings of possible real-life versions of these characters. This is in the Habitable Zone, because alot of these characters are aliens.

I am glad my food chain works. As for your picture it could work but the Yoshi's might need special behaviors inorder to keep their Island from burning to the ground. Also we would have to make fire resistent plants which would save them from Yoshi's but not the messing up of the forests(or other habitats) growth cycle making many other issues. |

The Red Yoshi would use the chemical wisely, alot like king kobras do. I think Goombas aren't fungi, but small mammals that have mold growing in their fur. I think the Yoshisaurus ebenus(Latin for ebony black), would prey on Koopas and Giant Goombas. P.S. Shut the hell up, I spell it "kobra" not "Cobra". Edited by Kamidio, Dec 13 2009, 03:34 PM.

That could work but I think any type that preys on them won't have the same toxins as the other Yoshi's. The way I put the food chain was so that the poison was transferred from one group to another starting at I think the omnivore Yoshi's that eat unrelated poisonous life. |

And the Giant Goombas that Black Yoshi eat have the amount of mold needed to make the Black Yoshi a non-avian dinosaur equivalent to Komomdo Dragons! |

That makes sense. The only poisonous birds get to be that way from eating a certain poisonous insect. |

This is getting some where now. Also That was the type of poison transfer I was thinking of when making the food chain. |

Yay! The Brown Yoshi is merely an endangered color variant of the Yoshisaurus viridis(Latin for green). Like a white tiger. |

Sounds interesting though I think we should make sub-species after we fill up the ecosystem that way we have enough real species. |

Pink might be derived from the Pirahna Plants red pigment? That would make it an herbivore. |

Well maybe the Pirahna Plants have fruit that look like each of those depending on their species. |
