| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! If someone has dared starting a topic about Pokèmon with realistic approach, why not this? How would you build a feasible model as Rareware staff did for that videogame? I would imagine Dinosaur being wiped out as in KT and Gondwana splitting roughly as did in Tertiary. A slightly different oceanic circulation, would make savannas both in Palaeotropical and in Neotropical zoological regions (i.e Africa and South America). Primates evolve in Africa up to Miocene-Pliocene and Crocodiles in Neotropica (South-America). Imagine chimps and gorillas roaming in Africa and running, scavenger, terrestrial, quasi-bipedal and then bipedal crocs develope on the other side of Atlantic, then un to Nearctica (North America). Now you can tease me ...til the hell freezes over for this *LOL* XD |

Ooh, this is interesting ! I would have never thought of making a thread of a realistic Donkey Kong, yet I was the one who made the Pokemon thread LOL |

Once we could even do one for Super Mario. Humans + archosaur-like anapsids XD *lol* But not now. Let's see how this "evolves" |

That's a cool picture, but I think they'd have rather non-human clothing, utilizing different materials, resources, languages, colors etc. Also if they are going to be a completely new species, than they should look rather different from chimps, gorillas, humans, and/or orangutans, and look like their own animals...maybe I'll doodle something

Well I wasn't implying that there were gorrillas with ties running around, but the paper does give a reason for their advanced intelligence. As for their appearance, it's kind of in the spirit of the topic to find an evolutionary reason for their resemblance to different kinds of apes. A new species would look all look similar to each other, something the Kongs aren't known for. |

Plus I would like to see how Kremlings get humanoid too XD However Klaptrap, Klampon and other quadrupedal biting crocks quite resemble some Cretaceous Notosuchians or even Protosuchians

Cat-O-9-Tails (Felis Nonacaudis) -nine tails help it balance -purple fur acts as camouflage in it's purplish swamp habitat -spins around and whips prey with it's nine tails to Disorient prey while chasing it |

No known lifeform has more then one tail. How did that thing end up with nine? |

Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea. "It is the old wound my king. It has never healed." | |

Alright I suggest that the Primates of this time line not diverge into lemurs and the more advanced apes, but instead maintain a single group until the grass lands start to form and we get the Kongimids(Donkey Kong and relatives). who take advantage of the grass lands forming the first great apes and hominids as the same group? Also one reason for them staying one line might be becuase their predators(Microraptor descendents?) make adaptions from both groups advantagous and the stay one group. |
