Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Eating with yours feel seems a bit odd, you don't want your oesophagus inside something that gets moved and bent like a leg. Then again it does let you keep a constant look out so maybe.

Oh and about them, they are pure Nightmare Fuel. I had trouble sleeping for months after watching the program.

Oh man, I still have all the Animorphs books. *NERD*

Well, the Hork-Bajiir were pretty cool, but they were a genetically-engineered race so they're questionable. The taxxons used to give me nightmares. D:

Yeerks make no sense. The ear canal isn't even connected to the inside of the skull! Wharrgarble!

Andalites...I don't even know?

The transforming stuff is almost certainly impossible if that was what you asked about.

YES THE BRAIN SLUGS DO NO HARM IN YOUR EAR. HERE TAKE ONE, THEY ARE THE COOL NEW THING TO HAVE SHOVED INTO YOUR EAR.

Perhaps they don't go all the way in, the ear is just a good place to hide and a good nerve supply to latch on to. But that raises the question, how are they so smart? The must have tiny brains if they can fit into slugs.

Oh about the transforming, one of the girls transforms into a male lion. That always struck me as odd.

I'm pretty sure one of the kids turned into a cockroach. Animorphs sucked, there wasn't even a single velociraptor (that I remember). And there were certainly no dragons.

Though being able to turn into a falcon or eagle would be cool.
We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar.

"The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming

I think two did. But the characters have faded over time, all I can remember is the weird alien kid, the cool kid who got stuck as a hawk and the blond girl who turning into a lion.

And you had to touch the animal to be able to turn into it. Duh!

Still I can think of better ways to help prevent the take over of an alien planet than giving a group of juvenile aliens the ability to turn into other animals.
Like contact a government. Any government. Luxembourg would do to get the ball rolling.

The andlight at the start was dieing and his ship was mostly out of control. He could not steer to a seat of goverment and anyway it may be ran by the alien slugs.

And they would probably be sold to some jerk collector who will never read then, touch them and only look at them on special occasions.

The British Library will have copies in storage just in case. Books are meant to be read.

I forgot about that, I was mostly just hoping the series got less scary and more animal transformation-y at the time.
