Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Interesting little animals, it'd be interesting to see the various forms that can branch off of these animals !

the first thing i thought of when reading about them were the flipsticks from Wayne Barlowes expedition, the two having the word "stick" in there name and all that...

but from what i can tell it's a pretty nice animal, sounds like a walking stick in some ways, but i'm curious how likely is it for such a thing to develop venom in its tail? i suppose keeping its ancestry a little vague allows for this to be overlooked...
Oh Fine.

Oh hi you! Why don't you go check out the finery that is SGP??

I think that thease are a wounderful idea but if you have glideing forms you may get flying forms and they would get off the extra cotenant you made.

I really only came in here because I saw the topic "bee sticks" and was immediately struck by the oddity of such a name, but I like it! :D I want one...

These sound very interesting and would like to hear more after the K-T event.

As for the tail another idea is that it started off as an infection simular to acne on Humans on the tail which symbioticly evolved into the poison glands.
I am dyslexic, please ignore the typo's!

What poison? Neuro or digestive?
Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea.

If it's money you're after, go with the 'splits up into pieces of cash' poison, which just spontaneously was created in my imagination.
