| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Registration is free and instantaneous. Join our community today! |

Indeed, if we could survive it we could see light in a vacuum. |

Time flows like a river. Which is to say, downhill. We can tell this because everything is going downhill rapidly. It would seem prudent to be somewhere else when we reach the sea. "It is the old wound my king. It has never healed." | |

So, since we need to transform matter to antimatter, we have come full circle, and are now back to matter resequencing. Another great technology is that of the Tricorders, which is much closer than you might think... --> Real medical Tricorder invented! <-- |

That is a brilliant invention. Imagine how useful that would be to a normal General Practicioner or family doctor, you don't even have to think about these less urbanized locations to see uses for that gadget. |

Yess! I will be cured! If you go down to the information level of matter, you can just deflect a little here and a little there and the matter will 'flip' to antimatter. |

I'm not sure if 'deflect' so much as 'edit' are the right words, but yes. However, I had to go with the information given on the show. Of course, once you are able to do that, what seperates you from a god? You could change anything into anything else, create out of nothingness, and send things into nothingness. A certain writer did say 'Maybe we weren't put here to worship god, but to make him', why not be him? |

You'd do incredibly useless things after a while- a mad god is better than a sane god. Vacuum energy is the power we shall use, and it is what defines the universe. Manipulate it, and you could prevent total entropisation, the Big Yawn or even stop the Big Crunch. |

No, Holben. Bad, very very bad. Any slight perturbance to the vacuum energy would cause a true vacuum and pretty much destroy anything and everything. What you've learned from Stargate is wrong. |
