Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

That sounds very doubtful, and not easy to maintian. Like if the French claimed to have won the Napoleonic wars.

Regarding the origins of abrahamic religions, a theory suggests that the single god worshipped in the monotheistic stage of the Egyptian Civilazation is to blame. Then everything got mixed with indo-european religions. Adam and Eve IIRC are a reccuring theme in mythology, so its not that hard to guess from where did it appeared.

As agree with Flash: the serpent is an old symbol of wisdom, so the Genesis can be interpreted as how humanity chose to be wise rather than follow Yahweh's words, as as a reward the psychotic childish fairy punished us.
Yeah and Egyptian Monotheism & Zoroastrianism (Indo-European faith) were said to both predate the original Israelite religion. I don't call it Judaism since from what I understand the word 'Jew' & 'Judaism' itself was a mistranslation and originally was referring to people who resided in the region of Judea rather than an actual religion.

Yahweh was definently a Demiurge, ie flawed creator deity. Commonly found throughout mythology:

Creationists deserve to be mocked for their idiocy. They are on a mission to destroying our education based on observable fact in favor of Bronze Age superstitions conceived by people who had limited knowledge about their planet they lived on. I find it offensive how some people are lenient towards this stupidity. It must be put down for good. This guy is doing his part on raising awareness of this ignorance. Ashwinder, thanks for saving me some typing about how open-mindedness dosen't mean unconditionally accepting any random claim. Scientists are not open-minded in that sense. If there is no evidence supporting a claim, it is rejected. For instance, if I had a hypothesis for that life on other planets will be unlike Earth, it would likely not be accepted because I have not seen an alien life-form myself, and speculation does not count, no matter how convincing. Take that one time I debated with this one narrow-minded person over at Tetrapod Zoology about Snaiad. Even though I strongly disagree with him, but hey, he's being a scientist. Like it or not, the purpose of science is to disprove every idea in order to understand reality better. Creationism is not something supported by testable observations, and is refuted by all of the mountainous evidence supporting an old Earth, let alone an old Universe.

Now, while I'm not against people who believe in something with no evidence for or against, like gods for example, I'm totally vehement towards anyone who believes in something that is certainly not true, like creationism. I mean sure, they have the free-will to completely ignore what makes their life better and what truly makes of the Universe better than presumptions inherited from ancient Hebrews who in turn took stories from Sumerian mythology; they have every right to be a complete idiot, but that still dosen't make it right, but at least it gives us something to laugh at, I guess.

And "think differently"? This sounds very similar to the argument presented by the idiot politician Todd Thompson over at the Oklahoma, who did not want Richard Dawkins to speak in the University of Oklahoma because he accuses his philosophy of being "intolerant of cultural diversity" (psh, whatever) "and diversity of thinking". So yeah, let's all ignore well-founded science and believe that that the world is nothing but a flat disc, that the Sun shifts its position around this disc (id est, it moves around this disk), that diseases are caused by demons, and that the world is only 6,000 years old.

I know he did not, but it seems ever other time someone says that word they are acting smug, superior and describing themselves.

Like whom? As I said, "rational" in their definition means you are capable of scientific and/or logical thought. You're rational, right? So I don't see what the problem is here.
I agree.
I am not suffering from insanaty. I truely enjoy being mad.
