Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Let's just say that dinosaurs survived and an intelligent species such as dinosapiens or maybe humans (although we probably wouldn't of evolved) domesticated them. What would they look like, I have an idea of a Dromeosaur which takes the place of dogs, selectively breed so they are less aggressive, also their sickle claw was lost in the process. Discuss other possible creatures.

I suppose the larger carnosaurs could just be used as unguided missiles. Point it in the right direction and let it loose.

Eh? That just confused me.

Hypothetical question: Could a tyrannosaur rip open a tank?

hang on, you could use armour plated titanosaurs as ultimate weapon platforms.

Perhaps a WW1 tank that was out of ammo, or a interwar tankette, the the animal was not shot to bits.
But a modern MBT would shred anything that approached it. In a forest or city a dinosaur could probably get close enough to attack, but find itself with a jaw full of smashed teeth and a chest full of bullets pretty quickly.

It might be able to attack a self-propelled gun, if it ggot behind it and the vehicle couldn't turn quick enough.

Probably not, depending on the animal it might be able to flip it over. Anyway Self propelled guns always have support.

You could probably use a ornithomimid as a mount, kind of like riding a giant chicken.

In the end, the best advice I could give you would be to do your project in a way that feels natural to you, rather than trying to imitate some geek with a laptop in Colorado.

That was kind of obvious actually.

Anyway, I think that therizinosaurs could be domesticated as farm animals, to provide meat and eggs. I can already imagine a domestic breed of Therizinosaurus that is about as tall as a rhea, has white and black feathers and plenty of desorganized plumes on its head

The feathers would probably come into use as well, they could be used as decorations or an insulator.

I guess domesticated maniraptors would have all sorts of weird plumage as in several chicken and canary breeds.
Maniraptor fanciers? That would be interesting. I can also imagine some of the smaller hadrosaurs being bred for meat or for riding.
Something is upsetting the ostriches.

Do you know those domestic chickens and pigeons that have wing feathers on the feet? It'd be cool if there were "pseudo-Microraptor" Velociraptor breeds

I already drew up a chicken-like troodont found in the forests of SE Asia ! Though it's for WIW XD , but it could be easily domesticated ;)

We would probably use small plesiosaurs in a Sea-World like show. "Saurmu" hehehe.
