| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Could you be more specific in Asia? (I'll work a fact into this) In the UK ethnic Indians are referred to as Asians, as Pakistanis and Indians don't really like being mixed up, as the US has many more immigrants from East and South East Asia, Asian is used to refer to them. Fag in the UK refers to a cigarette, and the the USA is used as a insult against homosexuals. Fact. I suspect they both come from faggot, which is a bundle of sticks used as firewood. A cigarette is a little like that, and they were used when burning people at the stake. After USS Constitution the oldest ship in the US military is USCG Eagle, built in 1936 in Germany as a training barque and taken as a prize of war by the USA and commissioned in 1946. She is also the only active service sailing ship in the US military. |

Not really; I just found those statistics, I didn't make them (but they are accurate). |

We should all aspire to die surrounded by our dearest friends. Just like Julius Caesar. "The Lord Universe said: 'The same fate I have given to all things from stones to stars, that one day they shall become naught but memories aloft upon the winds of time. From dust all was born, and to dust all shall return.' He then looked upon His greatest creation, life, and pitied them, for unlike stars and stones they would soon learn of this fate and despair in the futility of their own existence. And so the Lord Universe decided to give life two gifts to save them from this despair. The first of these gifts was the soul, that life might more readily accept their fate, and the second was fear, that they might in time learn to avoid it altogether." - Excerpt from a Chanagwan creation myth, Legends and Folklore of the Planet Ghar, collected and published by Yieju Bai'an, explorer from the Celestial Commonwealth of Qonming Tree That Owns Itself

Damn. Hmm, don't really have any facts. I read that some North Koreans think old Kimmy created the world, but I can't confirm that. |

The O RLY? Owl was used as a computer worm. Godzilla never eats and never defecates. The first usage of the word DERP was in 1999 in an episode of South Park. There are no clocks in Las Vegas gambling casinos. In the original Donkey Kong game he was intoxicated and was in a drunken rage. |

Some ribbon worms will eat themselves if they cant find any food. About 3000 years ago, most Egyptians died by the time they were 30. It was once against the law to slam your car door in a city in Switzerland. There wasn't a single pony in the Pony Express, just horses. Fingernails grow nearly 4 times faster than toenails. In the year 2000, Pope John Paul II was named an Honorary Harlem Globetrotter. It is estimated that millions of trees in the world are accidentally planted by squirrels who bury nuts and then forget where they hid them. There are more plastic flamingos in the U.S, than real ones. |

Well, how can ribbon worms benefit if they eat themselves? Most piranha aren't carnivorous, in fact most are omnivorous and there are some herbivorous piranha. In some ancient cities in England it is legal to kill someone if you kill them by bow and arrow and it is within the city walls. |

In the English city of Chester, not too far from the Welsh border, it is still legal to catapult any Welshmen caught after dark over the city walls. This law originated back when the two countries were at war, and has never actually been lifted. |

You just had to say that. Ddraig, would you mind coming with me to Chester? The Egyptians used baboons as waiters and fig pickers. The baboons were well paid. |
