In war, victory. In peace, vigilance. In death, sacrifice.

With that machine you could take care of elderly zoo animals, or help people park cars by lifting them into place.

No!!! The Giant Killer Mecha was invented to help mankind not to destroy it!

Some kind of virus might be helpful. If you could release a virus that only killed a specific plant you could completely decimate the weeds in your garden without pesticides and leave closely related desirable plants untouched.

That's more akin to a suit of armor, I was thinking more along the lines of a human-shaped tank.

Destroying the enemies food supply would be useful. But you might wipe out your own.

Ummmmm... yeah. Yes that is true.

I had an idea similar to that, but the problem is that a mechanic leg based on hydraulic systems or mechanical joint analogues provide weak points. A single hit by an RPG and the whole thing falls, and the driver is probably captured.

Indeed, those kinds of things would be very vulnerable to heavy weapons, unless you so burdened them with armour they could not move.

Yeah!

Hey, if the bot was big enough, just about anything couldn't get through its armor. Goliath Mecha-Emperor Scorpion/Ballistic Nuclear Launching Site!

I wonder if there is a way to create modern heated shot?

Heating a round does nothing to what it does. But if you added an incendiary layer of napalm, or another volatile substance, it could, or eh... might, start a fire where ever it exploded.

That was the point of heated shot, but I suppose that is what incendiaries do already.

Would a modern Floating battery be of any use? If you took a ship and covered it in Tomahawk launchers would that be of any use?

I'm watching you.

I've always wanted to see an anti-matter gun in combat. Assuming we could make enough anti-matter, we could literally destroy any part of the enemy's body that is of equal size to the anti-matter bullet.

Not sure how plausible that is, but it would be cool.
