| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! ![]() A map of their planet, which I am quite pleased with it, but I am not uploading it to deviantART quite yet. It has yet to be named. |

Yay, new stuff! So, it looks like there's only a couple of major landmasses. One large island continent in the south, and a gigantic band ringing the north pole. I'm curious to know what force(s) caused the circular arctic sea. Impact crater? Coincidence? |

Now with labels!![]() Some interesting geographical features not labeled:
The polar lake has its own plate. The other plates are pushing on this plate. If it was hit by a huge asteroid, then it would be knocked out of orbit and eventually become uninhabitable as it drifts away from the habitable zone. |

Ah, and I'm guessing that it's subducting under all the surrounding plates. Cool! |
