Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

In the current issue of Natural History magazine it is states that the notoungulates had evolved species that were very similar to primates. What were these species and just how primate-like were they?

Either they were insane or hugely mistook lagomorphs or cavimorphs for primates (given that glires and euarchonts are so closely related...), because early meridiungulates were typical small herbivores not too different from what I mentioned (notoungulates were part of Meridiungulata, as were most south american placental herbivores)

Ok, I had a chance to read it more fully and what they said was this.

"With hundreds of species the notoungulates provide textbook examples of evolutionary convergence in mammals. Teeth, skulls, and body shapes comparable to those of rats, rabbits, primates, hyraxes, sheep, horses and rhinos all evolved."

What I would like to know is this. What were the primate like features.
