| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Although I have noticed a recovery, though this may just be because I am looking. I hope your life sucks on Mars, otherwise you will be killed in the revolution for doing well. That or move to Ceres. |

Campaigning for an equality of clades? But if you had that, then the Dinosaurs would still be around, and you probably wouldn't be sitting there, venting your inner rage about little dicky-birds and mice. That would be a neat experiment. Let's do a alternative evolution project where everything is EQUAL OPPORTUNITY. No meteors, no disasters, and, due to equal opportunity, no dying out or adaptation. Let's see how that world would do. At least, it probably wouldn't have Dicky-birds. |

Actually it wouldn't have any decent lifeforms whatsoever. And note that primates were already around when dinosaurs lived, so there's the possibility we would be here, albeit likely lemur like and quadrupedal, as we used bipedaly to search out for predators in the ancient savanna and that wouldn't work with bipedal predators |

Colonization of Mars is a very serious project. It is the second most habitable planet in the Sol System. There are whole international communities on the subject. Russia is even launching a manned mission to mars late this year. If we brought these birds here, then too bad. If it is an absolute necessity, then find a way to sterilize them. Otherwise, it is a natural phenomena that should not be tampered with. |
