| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! If you want, I can draw some temporary pics. Just give me a basic idea. And if you want, I could help you come up with some ideas (I would become your partner, but I already have two projects ("TFIB" and "Rilln"), so I'm kind of swamped!). |

I don't mind. You'll just need VampyricTyrant's approval to do that (so do I for that matter). |

This really sounds like an AWSOME project. I noticed that your planet orbits a red giant, though. I don't want to shoot you down, but to make your project more scientific, maybe you could use a bianary star system instead. Red giants have a very short life time before they explode or become a black hole. The lifetime of a red giant is not nearly long enough for complex lifeforms to evolve. I hope thats ok. |

Stars Evolve. Life evolves faster. With life on a planet when it goes red giant, it's just luck of the draw whether they manage to survive and adapt or burn like Venus in a Supernova. |

Sorry let me clarify what I ment. If life developed on a planet while the parent star was a red giant it would not have enough time to evolve into intelligent life because red giants have a very short lifespan. |
