Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web.

Here is a artist who I think deserves attention on this forum.

Like Nemo, he is working on an exobiological book.
Here are some woks for his book.

Dinosaurs eat man, woman inherits the Earth.

These are good. What's his book project about?

We ought to get him to join this forum!

I love his megaherbivore and the filter feeder, but I find the birrin a little odd-looking.

His project concerns the evolution of the organisms on his sapient organism, the Birrin's home-planet.
I like the Birrin, they are some of the better and unique sophonts I have seen.

I already know that, its just that the design perplexes me, kind of makes me uneasy.

Just the design in general, I don't understand why.

Well, if it repulses you or suprises you in any way, that means the design is purely alien.
