| Speculative biology is simultaneously a science and form of art in which one speculates on the possibilities of life and evolution. What could the world look like if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? What could alien lifeforms look like? What kinds of plants and animals might exist in the far future? These questions and more are tackled by speculative biologists, and the Speculative Evolution welcomes all relevant ideas, inquiries, and world-building projects alike. With a member base comprising users from across the world, our community is the largest and longest-running place of gathering for speculative biologists on the web. While unregistered users are able to browse the forum on a basic level, registering an account provides additional forum access not visible to guests as well as the ability to join in discussions and contribute yourself! Registration is free and instantaneous. Join our community today! |

http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/ Here is a artist who I think deserves attention on this forum. Like Nemo, he is working on an exobiological book. Here are some woks for his book. http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Birrin-Head-Concept-91749753 http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Birrin-Body-Concept-99092540 http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Pseudoraptor-103928834 http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Pseudoraptor-Mk-2-104836211 http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Filter-Feeder-106293878 http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Aquatic-Alien-Sketch-106853727 http://abiogenisis.deviantart.com/art/Megaherbivore-Sketch-107034429 Edited by Saxophlutist, Dec 23 2008, 03:50 PM.

I love his megaherbivore and the filter feeder, but I find the birrin a little odd-looking. |

His project concerns the evolution of the organisms on his sapient organism, the Birrin's home-planet. I like the Birrin, they are some of the better and unique sophonts I have seen. |

Well, if it repulses you or suprises you in any way, that means the design is purely alien. |
