It had almost been a year to the day since Celeste had been told the man she loved was dead. Every day that she awoke alone, it was like a painful reminder of what had happened. Celeste had brought home quite a few of Toryn's things, such as a few shirts, hats, and pictures. Those things were now strewn about the room that now served partially as a nursery for her son, Toryn Alexander Ipswich II. Baby Toryn was the one thing in Celeste's life that brought her some sort of love and relief. Now as Celeste lay next to her son on her large, queen sized bed, she had a book in her hands that Toryn had fallen asleep listening to. It was almost two in the afternoon, around the time Toryn took a nap almost daily. Celeste placed the Dr. Seuss book down on the end of the bed and rolled onto her side to stare down at the one year old who looked more like he was two and a half or so. Celeste gave him a small smile before leaning down to give him a lingering kiss on the forehead. Toryn looked like his father in every way imaginable and as hard as that was for Celeste to see day in and day out, she also adored it at the same time. Celeste had done everything she could to teach Toryn about his father, including going as far as to place pictures of Toryn in his crib. Toryn Jr. could say daddy and knew what his father looked like but he was still confused as to why his father wasn't around. Celeste did her best to explain but it was no use. Regardless, Toryn had grown up extremely well with the help of James and the others. They were lifesavers and without them, Celeste would have given up a long time ago. After pulling a small black blanket up over Toryn, Celeste rose to her feet and crossed her bedroom to find new clothes to wear. She had been in her pajamas again all day so it was about time for a shower and change of clothes. |

Toryn had finally been released from Astyanax's hold. He wouldn't give up any information and so Astyanax had let him go after a year of torture. Toryn assumed it his was his woman that had forced him to let him go. She showed Toryn a small bit of compassion. It was laughable to him that such a merciful woman was with a man like Astyanax. Love worked in mysterious ways though. When he arrived home he was pretty much tackled by his sister, Delilah and greeted warmly by his father. He didn't want to remain at home though, he wanted to go to Celeste. After showering and getting out of the ragged and ripped clothing, Toryn had moved to put new clothing on. He had settled on a pair of black, Dickies pants with black sneakers and a black band tee with the sleeves cut off. He hadn't bothered putting a hat on over his buzzed head and then went about changing his gauges though he hadn't bothered putting his lip ring in. After looking himself over in the mirror Toryn left his room in a quick motion. Once he was done he went downstairs and was met by James who had agreed to drive him over to Celeste's home. On the way over Toryn looked as if he smoked a whole entire pack of cigarettes but it was only half, or that's what he told James. He needed a way to relieve his stress. After all, he had just been tortured for a month and barely fed. When the sleek, black car pulled up in front of Celeste's home with her mother, he rose from the passenger seat and flicked the cigarette from his hand. It was really nothing but a filter now. James had led him up the steps and then inside the house. Toryn knew exactly where Celeste was and as he went up the stairs two steps at a time he stopped once he was at the bathroom door. With a quiet motion he had twisted the brass door knob and stood in the doorway, staring at his lover's rippled reflection through the sliding glass doors. Toryn felt as if his knees were going to buckle. This would be the first time he'd see his lover in a year and words couldn't describe how he had missed her. After a few moments of staring at her outline he cleared his throat gently. "Celeste," Toryn said in a quiet and calm voice, though it was just loud enough for her to hear. |

After picking up a pair of plain white cloth shorts and a light pink tank top, Celeste draped each over her arm along with undergarments as well. Once she had slid the doors to her closet shut, she heard her name being whispered ever so slightly from across the room. "Yeah?" Celeste called as she turned around to face James and one of the Ipswich boys. Whichever it was, she wished they would stop coming around. It hurt far too much to see a Toryn replica day in and out. Sighing, Celeste diverted her eyes elsewhere and draped her clothes over the end of her bed, near the dresser that was placed at the foot of it. Celeste hadn't kept her eyes on him long enough to know who it was. "I wish you guys would stop just popping up, I told you it hurts to practically see Toryn. For a second, you sounded just like him. I hate it," Celeste muttered before folding her arms across her chest. At last, she forced her gaze back to the man and blinked a few times. Celeste knew her Toryn everywhere and anywhere, when he was next to all the Ipswich boys, she always knew which one was hers without a doubt. That's exactly how she knew that was Toryn standing in her doorway. With wide eyes, Celeste charged at Toryn and jumped into his arms before burying her face into the side of his neck. "There's just no way. Please don't let me wake up from this. If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up," She whispered ever so quietly as her tears began to soak his tank top. |

Toryn's arms moved to wrap around her petite body as if it were a reflex. His cheek moved to rest against the side of her head and he sighed loudly and then inhaled deeply. He hadn't smelt her in an entire year, but even after all that he swore he knew exactly what she smelt like. That would never leave him. When Celeste began to talk about not wanting to be woken up from her dream, Toryn sighed heavily and felt his eyes begin to swell. What if he was the one that was really dreaming? He often went off to a distant place when Astyanax took out his anger on him. "I told myself that every single night I slept. Every single night I dreamt of you and I never wanted to wake. The morning after hurt way too much for me to even try to comprehend what was going on. Without you, Celeste Rayne Stratton, there is no Toryn Ipswich." Toryn told her quietly with his voice cracking every once in a while. Toryn never wanted to let go and he just sat there, holding her. His arms locked tight around her body and hers around his board neck. He felt as if they were a marble statue, carved by the best sculptor and left for the masses to marvel at. They'd never be apart again, Toryn would make sure of that. Never again. |

"I can't believe this is really happening. I can't believe you're here...and alive," Celeste croaked out, trying to stop her sobbing as she clutched to him as if he would slip through her fingertips if her grip loosened even ever so slightly. "Every day I wanted to die, I didn't know how to exist without you. If it weren't for Toryn, I don't know if I would still be here but I never lost hope because I felt you with me day in and day out. I love you so much, Toryn Ipswich." Celeste pulled away ever so slightly, the tears still trickling down her face as she locked her eyes with his. Oh, how she had missed him so and now that he was really here in her arms, they could begin their life together exactly where they had left off, with a new addition to start their family. It was then that Celeste realized Toryn hadn't noticed Toryn the second laying in her bed. Eyes wide, Celeste jumped off of Toryn and as much as she didn't want to let go, she did so reluctantly. "I...something happened while you were gone too," Celeste whispered as she moved over to the bed and picked up their baby boy who was dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans and a black hurley shirt with his hair buzzed in a mohawk like style. Toryn Jr. rubbed his eyes and locked his green tinted hazel eyes on his mother. "Mommy?" When Toryn turned to face the man before him, he was still confused. To him, all the uncles looked the same and he didn't know which one this was. "Uncle Woman?" |

Toryn watched as Celeste moved to pick up the child and his eyes widened just a bit. Was the little boy his? The child looked almost identical to him and Toryn had watched as he rubbed and then opened his eyes that matched his. A smile quickly began to fall over Toryn's face as the little boy locked his eyes on his face. When the child asked if he were one of his uncles Toryn only chuckled and shook his head. "No, Toryn, it's Daddy." Toryn told his son and extended his hands, once Celeste handed Toryn junior to him he held the small boy tight in his arms as his tiny arms locked around his neck. The only word that exited the small child's mouth was Daddy and Toryn sighed loudly through his nose as his hand rested on the back of the child's head. |

Celeste watched with a slight smile plastered on her face as Toryn Junior and Senior finally met. Now happy tears were falling down her cheeks and all she did was take a step forward so she could embrace them both as well. With one arm around Toryn's torso and the other around their son, she laid her head on Toryn's shoulder, opposite where their son lay. "Doesn't he look so much like you that it's eerie? That's why I named him Toryn the second because even his personality is as crazy as yours." As her smile widened, Celeste opened her eyes to lock them upward on her lover's face. "The day I was told you were dead was the same day I found out I was pregnant. James told me and I thought it was the end of the world because raising him without you seemed unimaginable but now...now we have a family all our own. Can you believe it?" |

"Not exactly," Toryn whispered and then gently pressed his lips to his mortal lovers. After a few short seconds he had pulled away and then glanced over at the door. "He does look a lot like me though. He's got my chubby face." Toryn told Celeste with a very small chuckle. Things may actually get back to normal now, or so he hoped. Toryn never knew the definition of normal because it always seemed to be changing for him. When little Toryn carefully laid his head on his father's shoulder and explained that he was hungry he turned towards Celeste. "When did he last feed?" Toryn hoped it was today, he couldn't go feed again, and he wasn't all too pumped on taking a toddler out to kill a human. He'd prefer it if little Toryn ate more human food than humans. |

"James took him to feed this morning then we had normal human food for lunch. He's pretty much always hungry. Another thing I think he gets from you," Celeste teased with a small chuckle as she nuzzled her nose against Toryn Jr's pudgy cheek. Even though Celeste had never seen pictures of Toryn or any of the Ipswich boys when they were younger, she imagined them looking almost exactly as Toryn Junior did now, there was just no way anyone could ever deny that this was Toryn's child. "Surprisingly he's had a good mixture of both. Your father helped a lot. I don't think I would know what to do with a damphir baby if not for him. It's been quite confusing because he's like a little of both," Celeste shrugged and gave Toryn's cheek a lingering kiss before pressing her lips firmly to his, something she had missed for so long now. She had so many questions to ask him but now was not the time for that, now was time for catching up with his son and starting their family. Celeste could find out what had happened in that year later, she had to know if he wasn't dead, where had he been then? |

"Well, let's go get this little man something to eat then." Toryn said with a dimpled smile after he had pulled his lips from Celeste's. As the pair exited the bedroom he wrapped his arm around Celeste's shoulders and then went down the master staircase with her, one step at a time. All Toryn did was smile as little Toryn talked about all his toys and what he did for fun and how he was happy to have his daddy back. "So what're you hungry for, Toryn?" He asked his son in a curious tone as they stopped before the kitchen and he waited for a response. "Teddy gwams, Daddy!" Toryn shouted and giggled loudly as they entered the kitchen Toryn's bright green eyes lit up. "Gwanma! Gwampa! This is Daddy!" Toryn shouted loudly and patted his father's shaved head with excitement. Edited by Toryn Ipswich, Apr 7 2009, 03:02 PM.
