Toryn had quickly ran out to the car in the driveway, half dressed as he slid a tank top onto his body and quickly slid the UV light blade that his workers had come up with onto his belt. Alistair had texted him stating that Valion was going out of control. Somehow he had found out about Halion's duplication and if Valion couldn't get controlled he could wind up making a huge mistake. Toryn had already been told that Valion had scared the crap out of his daughter and that Mercedes was there trying to comfort her while Gabriel, Samuel, Mattew, and Alistair kept Valion in the bedroom. "Celeste let's fucking go!" Toryn screamed as he almost ripped the door off the hinges to the SUV in the driveway and quickly started it. Toryn had to distract himself somehow. With almost shaking hands he reached into the glove compartment and quickly pulled the pack of cigarettes from it. Toryn placed the filter end into his mouth and quickly lit it with the pack of matches placed in between the pack and the plastic covering. After taking a large drag and then exhaling through his nose he moved the cigarette to the corner of his mouth and he quickly pulled his Blackberry Storm from his pocket. He and Delilah were still angry at one another, but she had to know about her brother. It was the right thing to do. Toryn had no idea where his sister currently was and without a second thought he went through his phone to create a new message. When he turned the phone to the side, he quickly began to type. Delilah, something's wrong with Val. You gotta get over to his house. Matt's already over there with Val's sons and Alistair. Amiah's scared shitless and they're all just waiting for the shit to hit the fan when Idriel gets home. We need you there..If you can come. With that, Toryn locked his phone and placed in the cup holder as he revved the engine, waiting impatiently for Celeste. |

Celeste quickly darted out of the house, running as fast as she could down the driveway with her hair still soaking wet from the shower. Once she was inside Toryn's large SUV, she closed the door behind herself and sighed. "God damn it, Toryn, what's going on? You still haven't told me yet. Just, get out of the shower, it's an emergency, let's go." Celeste began to quickly sling her moist hair up into a ponytail holder that was clung around her left wrist. Within minutes, Celeste had managed the mess of hair on top of her head and leaned back in the seat to relax as Toryn explained what was going on. Idriel had been out most of the morning shopping and picking up the things that Amiah needed. It was hard raising a baby that grew so often that you had to buy her new clothes or shoes with every couple of weeks. Amiah and Valion were at home, probably having a ball without her, so Idriel was, of course, eager to get home. However, when she arrived home, the chaos she saw in front of her was anything but what she had expected. The front door was open and there were quite a few cars resting in the driveway. She wondered why everyone was here and instantly, her maternal instinct kicked in, thinking something was wrong with Amiah. Idriel left everything where it lay in Valion's car and bolted up the steps and inside, looking around frantically. When she saw Amiah screaming and crying on the couch in the arms of Mercedes, Idriel immediately rushed over and picked her frantic daughter up. Cradling her gently against her chest, Idriel glanced around for anyone who might be able to explain to her what was going on in her home. |

Minutes after they had left the mansion Toryn's SUV skidded into a stop in Valion's gravel driveway. Toryn had quickly cut the engine to the car and then jumped out of it, dashing towards the house. With a slight growl deep in his throat, Toryn moved through the front door and then up the stairs to where he sensed all the vampires. "Valion," Toryn breathed quietly and then moved to help them hold the door shut. "Valion, you need to calm down before you fucking hurt someone!" Toryn screamed as he glanced down at Matthew who was staring up at him. "Halion was wrong, we all know he was, but your scarring your children, your nephew, your wife!" Toryn continued to scream and when Matthew what pulled him away from the door he growled loudly. "My mother?" Matthew asked in a serious tone and when Toryn stated he messaged her with no response Matthew kicked the wall furiously. "She's so god damn stubborn sometimes." Matthew spat under his breath and quickly pulled his phone from his pocket. Matthew quickly dialed his mother's number, waiting for her to pick up. Her family needed her now and if she wasn't going to be here then it'd show she wasn't all that loving. |

Delilah was already on her way down the highway with Gage in the car next to her when she got her son's phone call. She quickly jerked the phone out from her pocket and put it to her ear after she had flipped it open. "Matthew, I'm on my way to Val's. I'm about eight minutes away. How is he? Why can't he just control his god damn temper for once?" Delilah sighed into the phone as she glanced over at Gage out of the corner of her eyes and gave him a small smile. "Five minutes now," Delilah added before Matthew had answered. She was in a hurry and just wanted to be there to help Valion in his time of need, if she was able to do so. After Amiah had stopped screaming, she handed her daughter off to Mercedes once again to make her way up the staircase where everyone was. "Let me talk to him. I know I can calm him down," Idriel said as she locked her eyes on Toryn's face. "You have to know that if anyone can talk him down, it's me." Idriel then placed a hand on the door and rested her forehead against it. She could hear Valion inside throwing a temper tantrum and she wondered why it was such a big deal. It was far too late to erase the mistake now so he might as well deal with it in a more appropriate way. |

"What exactly is wrong with your family again?" Gage asked Delilah as she wove the car around another vehicles on the street. Gage wasn't feeling all that well but he had gotten up as Delilah had instructed him, or well, asked him. He'd do anything for her now that they had grown closer. At first he wouldn't talk to her if it killed him, she got the silent treatment all the way. When the car had stopped Gage quickly rose from his seat and fixed the faded, red tee shirt over his faded jeans. Since being with Delilah, Gage had began to modernize himself more so. They were always out in town and he had gotten into wearing jeans and such. To his surprise, they were actually very comfortable. Although the one thing Gage was very stubborn about was his hair and his stubble, he wouldn't get rid of it as much as Delilah asked him to. Toryn had given Idriel a look before he nodded slightly and informed the boys and Alistair to back away from the door. It was a spur of the moment decision and if he had known how angry his brother was, he would've never done it. With a careful sigh, Toryn gently placed his hand on the knob and kicked the door open with the toe of his shoe. The moment the door opened, Valion growled deeply and smirked. When Gabriel and Matthew had attempted to hold him back, his large arms quickly gripped each of their necks and he tossed them through the walls and then they flew out the large window that overlooked the driveway. Before either of them knew it, both Gabriel's and Matthew's bodies had slammed onto the hood of Delilah's car. Mattew had landed on the hood completely and Gabriel hit the front of the hood, near the bumper, and slammed into the ground in another second. When Idriel took a step towards him, he pounced on her and quickly dug his teeth into the side of her neck. When he began to suck the liquid from her body the taste of bleach quickly filled his mouth and instead of carefully pulling his teeth out, he ripped them away, creating a gash in the side of her neck. |

Once Delilah had climbed out of the driver's side of her car, she slammed the door shut and then locked the vehicle. "Well, my brother, Val is very angry and supposedly ready to kill someone over something my other brother, Halion did. It's chaotic to explain but you'll catch on-" Delilah stopped short when she saw her son and nephew fly out one of the windows over head to land on the hood of her vehicle. Eyes wide, Delilah dropped her keys and ran back to her car. "Matthew!" Delilah exclaimed, a growl sounding deep in her throat that rumbled out in a loud roar that sounded throughout the property. Matthew was her baby boy and no one, not even her brother, should treat him like this. She knew it was Val, it had to have been. Delilah quickly helped Matthew from the hood of the car and then aided him in standing before asking. "What happened? Did Val do that?" Delilah's motherly instincts took over and she placed each of her hands on the sides of Matthew's face. When their eyes locked, she began to check him over completely, making sure he was okay, even if he was immortal. When Toryn had kicked the door open, Idriel gave him a tender smile and then stepped inside the door, nothing but love and compassion on her face. However, the monster that replaced Valion was not what she had been expecting. Especially when he attacked Gabe and Matthew before slinging them out the window as if they were nothing. Even then, though, Idriel was confident that Valion would never hurt her. He loved her and she knew that so instead, she took a step forward to help him, looking concerned. "Val, baby, just talk to-" Idriel was quickly cut off when Valion attacked her, slamming her to the floor and ripping into her neck viciously. Idriel gasped and her entire body tensed, the pain was unbearable. That was nothing like the pain of Valion's fangs ripping a hole in her neck when he had felt the bleach like taste. Idriel froze. She just laid there, in shock. One of her hands quickly moved to her neck and she applied pressure hard against the bleeding wound. Idriel knew she could heal herself, it wasn't the wound that bothered her, it was the fact that Valion had done this. He seemed as if he would tear her to shreds if he could and she didn't understand why. It wasn't like she had done anything wrong, she was only trying to help him. Quickly, Idriel scrambled to her feet and with fear in her eyes, she leaned against the door frame, feeling weak as the tears began to flow down her cheeks. Idriel was feeling one thing and one thing only: heart ache. |

"Valion James Ipswich!" Toryn screamed as he lunged into the room and quickly tackled his brother to the ground. Toryn had quickly given Valion a few blows to the face and when he stopped moving, Toryn assumed he was knocked out, he rose to his feet, breathing heavily. "Celeste," Toryn huffed and quickly made his way out of the house. Toryn had sprinted out the front door to his SUV where Celeste and Mercedes sat as if nothing were really going on. With a sigh of relief, Toryn knocked on the window and she rolled it down. "You may just wanna drive home, babe. I may be here awhile." Toryn explained and ran his hands down his face in a slow motion. "Mom," Matthew said sternly and slowly moved her hands from his face. "I'm fine. That didn't hurt one bit." Matter explained and gave his mother a bright smile before he moved back towards the house. Although, Matthew stopped when he heard his uncle scream Valion's full name and then Toryn came running out of the house. Either Valion was going to be coming right after him, or it was over, for now. Gabriel had whimpered quietly as he rolled over on the ground and slowly pushed himself up to his feet. God, he needed Eowyn's healing abilities now. His burns were almost all gone and landing on rocks had just made it worse, he was going to be sore once again. When his uncle came dashing out of the house, Gabriel's ice blue eyes widened. "Dad," Gabriel huffed out and shoved Matthew up out of the way as he darted up the stairs. Once he was fully upstairs, he slid down next to his father, attempting to smack him awake. |

Idriel shook her head as her body shook and heaved with sobs. Right now, Idriel felt as if Valion was no more. The man that lay unconscious on the floor was not her fiance, not the man she loved. So Idriel did the only thing she knew was best, the only thing she could do for the sake of her daughter: she had to leave. Idriel pressed her hand firmly against her neck and made her way down the stairs, ignoring the blood that flowed down the front of her body, soaking her dress. When Idriel spotted her daughter laying on the couch asleep, she scooped Amiah up in her arms and gave the side of her face a gentle peck. "My sweet baby," Idriel choked out as she cradled her daughter close to her chest. When Amiah awoke, she became quickly frantic about why her mother was bleeding as well as where her father was. She had not forgotten a thing, she remembered the chaos from earlier and was still afraid, worried. Idriel calmed Amiah the best way she knew how by rocking her calmly back and forth in her arms. As the two made their way outside, Idriel blinked away the tears that still flowed and clouded her vision. The two began to make their way down the street, with nothing but themselves and the clothes on their backs. All she needed to do now was to find the portal and make her way back home, back to Nehatah. Broken. Delilah shook her head, chuckling as she watched her son, Matthew, dart back into the house to help. That's when Delilah knew she had raised her son the proper way. He was so helpful and loving to all those around him. He was her baby and she loved him and his sister more than anyone else in the world. Delilah then turned her gaze back to Gage and gave him a small smile. "Oh, that boy that just fell from the sky was my son, Matthew. I'll have to introduce the two of you later. I have two kids, both vampires, and a granddaughter who's five," Delilah explained as she moved over to him and gave his lips a tender peck, just as she saw Toryn out of the corner of her eyes. Delilah still missed her brother so much and it hurt to be this close to him when she thought Toryn hated her. Celeste nodded and glanced around at the chaos. "Whatever you want me to do. We aren't really much help here. Just humans, you know," Celeste said and glanced over at Mercedes out of the corner of her eyes. "Alistair told us to come out here so Val didn't try to eat us or whatever." Eowyn darted down the stairs when she sensed that someone she cared for was in trouble. She had spent most of the morning searching for some sort of incantation to calm Valion's spirit down. She used to be so good at it and now, she had forgotten everything just when the people she cared for needed it most. Eowyn stopped at the bottom of the stairs just as Gabe rushed past her and she quickly followed him, eager to see what was going on. "Gabe," Eowyn called as she stepped inside the room and saw him knelt next to his father. "Is he unconscious?" Eowyn then slid down next to Gabriel and placed a hand on his shoulder. Instantly, she knew he was hurt and in pain. "You're hurt." Edited by Idriel Lothaire, Mar 6 2009, 12:16 PM.
