Torn Between Two

The last thing Scarlett wanted to do was to drag her fiance, Gunner, over to her ex-husband's house to visit. Of course, Scarlett had nothing against Valion. The two had been crazy about each other for the longest time. The sex was great, the love passionate, and life was great for as long as it lasted together. Explaining this part of her life to Gunner hadn't been ideal though. After all, she had never mentioned her children to Gunner until a few weeks ago when she discovered they were in town.

Now as Scarlett and Gunner made their way up the driveway, she flashed him a confident smile. "You'll love my kids, believe me. They're great boys." With that, Scarlett knocked quietly on the door, just loud enough to be heard by vampiric ears.

Valion and Idriel's house was bustling with activity today. The one thing Idriel was worried about was meeting Valion's ex-wife today. She invisioned this god like creature that no one could compare to and as she opened the door, she saw her. Scarlett looked like some sort of model that stepped straight off the runway and it made Idriel somewhat jealous deep down inside.

Forcing a smile, Idriel pulled the door open wider. "Scarlett, I assume?" When Scarlett nodded and stepped inside, Idriel called for Valion through the house. She knew that once she said his name, all the others would more than likely come along with him if they knew their mother was here.

Idriel then closed the door behind her visitors and glanced around. Amiah was with her father but Idriel hated being away from her baby girl for even a few minutes.

Eowyn sat on the couch and when the new vampire and her lycan came in the front door, she cocked her head to the side curiously. That face was so familiar so she quickly ran out of the living room and into the kitchen where her sister, Lithoniel, was to see if she recognized the face as well.

Valion had been outside with Amiah all morning. After Idriel had cooked everyone with the exception of himself, Gabriel, and Samuel breakfast he drug Amiah out to play on the new swing set he had built her. It was a bright and sunny morning and when Valion felt a familiar scent fill his nostrils, he glanced towards the house. Valion had smiled as he watched Amiah slide down the plastic, yellow slide and then scooped her up into his arms.

"Time to go inside baby girl." Valion told Amiah and nuzzled his brisk nose against hers.

Valion had thrown Amiah over her shoulder so he just held onto her calves as he carried her inside. The loud laughter Amiah put out made Valion's smile grown louder. When Valion had trecked through the kitchen and finally into the living room where Scarlett and her fiance stood, he gave her a small nod as he placed Amiah down and she ran over to Idriel.

"Mommy!" Amiah yelled as he ran over to her and wrapped her tiny arms around her legs. "Daddy pushed me on the swings, and the slide, and then carried me upside down!" Amiah explained to her mother before she put her arms up in the air, signalling that she wanted to be picked up.

Samuel had been up in his room when he heard the knock at the door and perked up just a bit. When the scent traveled into the house and he identifed it as his mother's his smiled and dropped the book down on his bed. With a quick dash out of his room, grabbing the shirt off of his dresser that he had borrowed from his father. As he ran down the hall he quickly slid it on and then placed it neatly over his jeans. He hadn't seen either of his parents in the longest time and it was nice that they were both willing to get along to see Gabriel and himself.

"Mother!" Samuel exclaimed as he finished a few of the steps and then dashed over to her. Samuel had wrapped his much larger arms around his mother when she held them open for him. Samuel and Gabriel were both momma's boys and at the same time they were the same way with their father. There was no favorites in their family.

Gabriel had sat in the shower for a few long moments as the soap washed from his sandy hair and when it had, he ran his hands through it to slick it back. He had pulled back the curtains just a bit to see if there was a towel in his bathroom and when there wasn't, he sighed. Eowyn had gone downstairs and he glanced around. His father would shoot him if he got the whole entire bathroom and bedroom wet.

"Eowyn!" Gabriel called over the running water, knowing that she heard him.

"Samuel," Scarlett breathed as she wrapped her petite arms around her son's body and held him tightly to her. Squeezing him into a tight hug, she smiled. It felt nice to see her children again after so many years and even though Valion seemed to be acting awkward around her already, she wasn't going to let it ruin her reunion with her boys.

After a lingering embrace, Scarlett pulled away and grinned wider. "Where's your brother?" When she heard him yell for someone by the name of Eowyn from upstairs, she was curious as to who that was but said nothing. If he had a girlfriend, Scarlett couldn't wait to meet her.

Idriel immediately picked Amiah up in her arms when she came running up. After nuzzling her nose against Amiah's rosy cheek, Idriel gave her a quick peck on the jaw. "That sounds like so much fun, baby. I only wish I could have played with you guys!" Idriel giggled and carried Amiah over to the couch to sit down with her.

Lithoniel popped another grape into her mouth as her sister came running into the kitchen. "What?" She snapped as she hopped off the edge of the counter. As Eowyn pushed her towards the living room, Lithoniel rolled her eyes. "Your man needs you." Lithoniel stepped into the living room and as she did, her eyes widened and her mouth hung open.

Insantly, Lithoniel ran across the room and into the arms of who she assumed to be Mason. He resembled her love in every way imaginable and there was no way that it wasn't him. With her arms around his neck and legs tight around his waist, Lithoniel burried her face into the side of his neck and inhaled slowly.

Eowyn quickly darted up the stairs when she heard Gabriel yell for her from the bathroom. After a few knocks on the door, she opened it only a crack to peak inside. "What babe?" Eowyn questioned as she diverted her eyes away from the shower curtain when his wet head peaked out.

"Gabriel is upstairs showering, Scarlett." Valion explained as he came back into the living room with a bottle of beer in his hand. "He came home, how do I say this-" Valion paused for a short moment. "Burned? Nasty fight with a Strigoi." Valion explained and shrugged as he sat down in the recliner across the room after shaking Gunner's hand and introducing himself. Once he had sat down he smiled over at Idriel and Amiah, and took a small drink from the bottle.

"Uh yeah," Samuel said when his mother gave him a small look. "Strigoi set him on fire 'bout three days ago." Samuel continued and avoided her gaze. "It hasn't been the first time though, so Gabe's all good." Samuel promised with a nod of his head and a forced smile.

"Can you grab me a towel?" Gabriel asked Eowyn and cringed slightly when the water hit one of the more burned parts of his body. Just to be safe, Gabriel shut the water off and then waited in the empty shower for Eowyn to grab his towel. Once she had, he wrapped it around his waist, right below the large tattoo on his hips, and then slowly stepped out of the shower, cringing once more. When Eowyn gave him a look, he shrugged ever so slightly, but that only caused more pain. "Showers are bad," Gabriel assumed and then slowly moved into the bedroom, carefully sitting down on the bed. Gabriel's eyes had slowly drifted to the large burns on his arms, making a weird face at them as they oozed.

Gunner had given the new woman a weird look as she lept onto him. He didn't know her, he'd never seen her in his entire life. When he cleared his throat and gave a small look towards Scarlett and the man who just introduced himself, he kept his hands placed firmly at his sides. "Can I help you?" Gunner asked her curiously.

Scarlett froze in her spot when she heard about her son being set on fire continuously by Stigoi. "So please tell me why you allow these boys to continue that?" Scarlett questioned Valion as she gave him a sideways glance. She trusted her boys to keep safe and was very proud of them for what they did, even if she was newly turned 'good' by the standards of those around her.

However, Scarlett's question was quickly forgotten when some long haired, dark brunette woman lept into the arms of her man. "Excuse me?" Scarlett asked as she roughly helped the elven woman from her fiance. When the strange girl gave both Scarlett and Gunner puzzled looks, Scarlett wound her arm around that of Gunner's. "This is my fiance, elf."

Lithoniel's excited expression quickly turned to that of disappointment and pain when the vampire claimed Mason as her fiance. "Mason? Don't you remember me?" Lithoniel asked, trying not to cry. "Lithoniel?" Lithoniel noticed the even more puzzled looks and so then tears began to trickle down her cheeks. How could he not remember her?

Idriel grinned over at Valion as Amiah toyed with her mother's long strands of hair and laid her head to rest on her chest. "Why is she crying, mommy?" Amiah questioned and when Idriel began to explain how she wasn't sure, Amiah continued to watch Lithoniel curiously. She didn't like seeing her family upset, Idriel could tell just how loving Amiah was. She loved everyone without judgement and it was an endearing quality in her daughter.

Eowyn followed Gabriel solmely and sat down next to him on the bed. "Is there anything I can do?" Eowyn asked, her tone barely a whisper as she watched him in pain. She couldn't stand the thought that he had to suffer like this and wanted to do whatever it was in her power to help him to feel better.

"Um," Was all Gunner said quietly and glanced down at Scarlett. "I have a brother named Mason." Gunner informed the woman with a shrug of his shoulders. "We're triplets, myself, Maddox, and Mason." Gunner informed and her and slowly pulled away from Scarlett to approach the elf woman and place his soft fingertips under her chin. "You know Mason?" Gunner asked her quietly, "I assume you two had some sort of relationship at some point?" He questioned her with a curious look on his face.

Samuel had moved to sit down next to the woman he considered his second mother. With a smile directed towards Amiah he began playfully poke her in the stomach and watched as she turned to face him. Samuel was happy to have another sibling and his father seemed so happy that it was perfect. Idriel was a perfect match for him.

"Can't elves heal?" Gabriel asked Eowyn quietly and then felt his lip twitch up into a small smirk. "Idriel says that they can seeing she's like a pro at that shit or whatever." Gabriel explained and slowly moved to lay back on the bed that he and Eowyn were forced to share. "Wanna lend a hand with that?" He asked her curiously, his smirk still there.

Lithoniel nodded slowly as her eyes locked with the man she now knew as Gunner. It sent butterflies tingling through her stomach, even if it wasn't Mason. He still resembled and sounded like Mason in every way possible, even down to the eye color. "Yeah, Mason and I were together for many, many years. I loved him more than anything in the world but things seperated us...and I left and I shouldn't have. God, I still love him so, so much. Is he here? Is he in Rockland?"

Idriel grinned over at Samuel as he began to tease and play with Amiah. He was so good with kids. Both of Valion's sons were and she wondered why they had never had any of their own. They both seemed very capable and with how close Eowyn and Gabe were getting, Idriel wondered if she would soon become mother in law to her best friend? The thought made Idriel chuckle inwardly.

Eowyn nodded eagerly and smiled. "I can do that. I was just afraid of hurting you," With that said, Eowyn placed one of her hands delicately on one of his arms. After muttering a small quote of elven words, her hand began to glow and his arms began to heal at a slow rate. Once his arms had returned to normal, Eowyn grinned wider, proud before moving her hands to rest on his chest to do the same.

"Yeah, he's here. Somewhere." Gunner told the woman and then turned towards the door. "I'm gonna go call Maddox." Gunner explained and then stepped out the door. Once he was outside, he hustled towards his truck and pulled the door open. Gunner had pulled open the front door to the truck and grabbed his phone, calling the house phone where Maddox and Sam were home watching his kids. After telling Maddox to come down here with the stash that Gunner kept in the basement and told Maddox to leave the kids with the neighbor, he hung up the phone.

Gunner had slowly moved back into the house and closed the door behind himself. "Maddox is on his way, he's bringing some things because hostile lycan territory isn't the best place to be at nightfall." Gunner explained with a shrug of his shoulders.

Valion had slowly glanced upstairs when he heard what was going on up there and if he knew his son, he knew what was going to happen. With a sigh he glanced at Gabriel's mother and took a long sip from the bottle. "You may want to go drag your son away from the elf lady upstairs." Valion told Scarlett with a chuckle and went back to staring at the ceiling.

When Gabriel felt Eowyn's hands on his chest his smirk only grew and he slowly slid his hands down to the knot of his towel. "You know, Eowyn, this got burned too." Gabriel explained as he undid the knot on his towel and threw it away from his body with a simple flick of his wrist.

"Oh please, Val. He's your son. I think I know best how insatiable the Ipswich sex drive is..." Almost as immediatley as Scarlett said that, she laughed at herself. Surely, Idriel wouldn't like hearing that. "So you go up there and I don't know...soak him in cold water or something." Scarlett shrugged. She honestly didn't care what her sons did as far as their sex life was concerned. It wasn't something a mother should get involved in.

"You mean...we're going to find him? You're going to find him for me?" Lithoniel asked, a brightness returning to her eyes as she wiped away the slowly drying tears from her eyes. She was beyond excited about being reunited with Mason. It was something she had been craving since she lost him so many years ago. "I can't believe this...I can't believe he's here."

Eowyn's eyes widened and before she could look away, she saw him completely naked. With her eyes shut, her cheeks began to flush a bright shade of red at her embarassment. She had never seen a man naked before and now that she had, it felt...different. "I..." Was all Eowyn said as she reached her hand out, eyes still squeezed shut and placed it on his member, her fingertips delicately grazing him as she worked her magic.

"Yeah," Gunner breathed and stood by the window. Once Maddox had pulled up he darted out the front door. Gunner had greeted Sam with a quick hug and then moved to the trunk with Maddox. Gunner had opened one of the large duffel bags and began to pull its contents from it as Maddox put them on.

"Explain to me again why we're going to get Mason while it's dark and in the hostile lycan territory." Maddox asked in a tone that wasn't all that excited as he put on the bullet proof vest that Gunner had handed him and then the belt of ammo clips. Once he was done with that, he moved to jump into the truck bed. "Regardless, you owe me. I was busy." Maddox said with a grin.

Gunner had laughed and moved back into the house, leaving the door open this time. "We're all ready to go, so anyone that's going, let's go." Gunner explained and then stepped outside and closed the door behind him.

Valion had cocked an eyebrow when Samuel rose from the couch and he quickly rose from the recliner. "Where do you think you're going, Samuel?" Valion asked him in his thick, Scottish accent. When Samuel explained that he was going, Valion sighed and glanced over at Scarlett. "Ask your mother." Valion explained and moved to the kitchen with the empty bottle in hand.

Samuel had stopped and sighed and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "Can I go, Mom?" Samuel asked her with a small grin. "You know I can help, I kill Strigoi for a living and it seems Gabriel is busy for the night." Samuel explained and began to creep closer towards the door as his grin grew.

"Eowyn, you can look at it." Gabriel told her with the same smirk still on his face. "It's not like you're breaking a vow or anything. You just said no sex, this isn't sex." Gabriel told her honeslty and moved one of his hands to grip the fabric of her shirt and pulled her closer to him.
