Caelen only had a very short talk with the doctor before he moved passed him and went down the hall to the room that had Holly inside of it. A thousand thoughts ran through his head. He couldn't believe he had just saved a human. Well, he was a Moroi and they were more civil than the Dragomirs. They didn't kill humans. Once Caelen had found Holly's room, 302, he had knocked gently before stepping inside.

"May I come in?" He asked her quietly, closing the door behind himself after he was far enough in.

Holly's chocolate brown eyes darted to the door as soon as she heard a quiet knock. She knew who it was because there was only one person here with her. "Yeah, of course," Holly replied in a voice that was a lot happier than before. Carefully, Holly slid up in the hospital bed she lay in and glanced over at him, examining him slowly from head to toe.

"Thanks for..well saving my life," Holly whispered. "I'm Holly, by the way." She then extended her hand towards him before flinching and placing that hand over her chest where the stitches had been placed.

Caelen had easily dragged one of the hospital chairs across the room, next to her bed before he sat down in it. She looked fine from the outside, but inside he knew what she was asking herself. How could vampires exist? Good question, right? Wrong, vampires were all over the world and it was proven that they came into existence right after humans did. They walked hand in hand with one another. It was logical, but humans couldn't understand it.

"Caelen," He said quietly and folded his large arms across his chest. "The doctor said you could leave in the morning. They just wanted to monitor you for mental reasons."

Holly shook her head back and forth repeatedly before inhaling a deep breath of air. After exhaling with a deep sigh, Holly locked her eyes on Caelen's face. "What was that place back there? Those guys..." Holly trailed off, eyes seeming as if they were permanently wide. "They asked us to come with them to a club and then...that...no.."

Holly looked at Caelen with a frantic look plastered on her face. "I don't understand, Caelen."

"Shh," Caelen comforted as one of his pale, cold hands moved to stroke one of her cheeks delicately. Caelen didn't know how he was going to explain this to a human. Sometimes it took vampires a long time to comprehend why Dragomirs did things like that, but other times, they caught on like it was nothing. Atleast they weren't like the Strigoi, those were the only thing Caelen feared.

"No one's asking you to understand, but right now, you need to rest." Caelen told her quietly and continued to stroke her cheek. "We can go into this more in the morning."

"I'm not tired, I don't want to," Holly replied stubbornly as she let her dark eyes slip closed anyways. She knew those were vampires back there at the club, there was no doubt about that but what did confuse her was how this vampire could be different from the ones who had hurt her. He was, Caelen was so delicate and caring that it confused her even more than before.

"Why aren't you like them? You don't eat people?" Holly asked as she opened her eyes to look up at him and lock them on his face. She couldn't deny that she loved his touch, it was cold and yet it felt nice.

Caelen had never made a move to remove his hand from her face. Caelen thought her warm skin felt nice against his hand, it was like a small burning sensation. He was sure it was the collision of his cold skin against her warm skin. They were polar opposites. When she asked if he ate people he just sighed. Ate was such a harsh word. They weren't like the Lycans. They didn't kill and then eat. They just fed.

"I don't eat humans, don't kill humans. I just feed. We have special places we go to called clinics." Caelen told her and kept his eyes on her face. His eyes were slowly starting to dull. He had to feed again, it had been atleast forty-eight hours since he fed last.

Holly leaned her head this time towards his touch as his hand lingered near her face. For some reason she knew that with this vampire, she was eternally safe. "Clinics? So you just feed and then these humans can go on and keep living?" Holly questioned as she locked her eyes with his, a stern look in them. Outside of a situation like this, Holly was a very wild and fun girl but also very strong.

Holly then placed one of her hands atop his and slid it down to place his hand over her heart now. "So it's no temptation at all? For you to kill me?" Holly bit down on the side of her bottom, pouting lip, her eyes never leaving his as she questioned him.

"Humans are always temptation for us. They always have been and always will be. The older you get the easier the temptation gets and simpler it is to live a normal life." Caelen told her and closed his eyes as his hand absorbed the vibrations that her beating heart gave off. It was completely insync, never missing a beat at all. The heightened nerves in his hand picked up every single one, and could feel the blood being pumped out and transported to another portion of her body.

"The younger you are, the harder it is. Although, it is sometimes easier for those who are born as vampires. Their mother's ability to resist human blood affects them a bit, it all depends on how often she feeds."

Holly nodded as she listened to him, her eyes growing heavy as she did so. It was a little past three in the morning now she was sure of that. With a long yawn, Holly spoke again, "So how old are you exactly then?" Holly questioned. Just then, another girl who looked almost exactly like Holly only taller and a bit older burst through the door looking frantic.

"Holly!" Her sister, Kelsy exclaimed as she rushed over to the side of the bed and placed her hands on each side of Holly's face, staring into her eyes. "Are you okay?! They just called me searching for your parents but when I told them they were still back home, the doctors told me what had happened and that you were here with your...husband..." Kelsy ranted, glancing over at the strange man from the corner of her dark eyes.
