The mansion. A place Caelen dreaded every moment of every day. The room that his father and mother shared had become a locked cell, the items inside just collecting dust. Nothing in the home had changed since his arrival back to the house two years ago. It was hard to believe that his parents had been dead for seven years and Killian missing for that long as well. Caelen was sure he wasn't dead, he had no idea where he was, but right now, Caelen couldn't be concerned with Killian. He was always the stronger of the two. He was never as nervous, never as anxious. Caelen had sat in bed. He just laid there all day and had not been bothered by anyone, not even the mansion staff. He was becoming a body with no soul. A man with no heart. Caelen had no one to love him anymore. He had no lover, no parents, no family, and resented the members of the Royal family. He was so alone in this world of so many. Caelen had been so used to having the love of people, that once his parents died that went away. Caelen's eyes had never left the blood-red ceiling of his room, atleast until the sun went down. When the sun went down, Caelen came to life. He became the animal that vampires were meant to be. Caelen had pulled the thick blankets from his body and risen from the bed, adjusting the boxers on his hips. With a small, un-controllable growl Caelen had made his way over to the walk in closet he had, after flicking the light switch Caelen had made his way over to his rack full of jeans. Caelen had settled on a pair of black jeans and after pulling them on, he grabbed a studded belt with a rather large belt buckle with the metal emblem of his family crest on it. A wolf. Caelen had then pulled on a black tank top and tucked it behind his belt buckle. Almost everyone in the vampire community knew him by his name and his looks, but for the new comers, the belt buckle was a sure fire way to keep the annoying ones away before they got themselves killed. Caelen had grabbed a large leather jacket on his way out, and slipped it on over his broad shoulders. The jacket had stretched down to about his ankles and he grabbed a pair of black sunglasses to shield his ice blue eyes. The came the cigarettes, they were slipped into the chest pocket of his jacket. Once Caelen had left his room, two Dhampir guards, dressed in all black, followed about thee paces behind him. He was treated like a king and he basked in it..Occasionally. Once Caelen had exited the home, a sleek, black limo had met him once he cleared the marble steps. Caelen had kept his feet placed in the puddle they had stepped into, with a quick glance down at his boot covered feet, Caelen stepped into the limo. The limo wasn't as exciting as Caelen had hoped it to be tonight. Across from him sat a human girl. She was pretty, though no where near beautiful and couldn't compete with the vampire women he surrounded himself with. Without any hesitation at all, Caelen had lept across the car in a blur and sank his teeth into the woman's neck. Caelen had sucked her body dry and then ripped his razor like teeth from her body. Caelen had lent over to roll down the window and spit the chunk of her neck from her mouth before moving back to sit down in his seat and then he felt a hand on his thigh. Caelen knew exactly who it was. Illiana. His ex, one of the girls he went to St. Vladimir's with. The hand had slowly trailed more towards the inside of his thigh and could feel her cool breath against his ear. "Such a messy eater," Illiana whispered into his ear, nipping at it slightly. "But only men embrace the hunt like you do." Caelen's lungs stopping inhaling air when he felt her hand trail closer to his manhood. Before she could reach it, the limo stopped. Caelen had pushed her hand away and stepped from the sleek vehicle. Illiana was a slave like the rest. Set on pleasing him, hoping for something more than he'd give. She was a mindless drone. Caelen had watched the two bodyguards from the mansion step from the front of the car and follow behind him once again. Caelen had pushed through the crowd, his eyes never blinking against the flashing bulbs that the club produced. Once inside, the music had stopped for him. Like it always had. He was a VIP guest and the club was gracious to have him. When his name was announced, Caelen paid no attention to it and just moved through the club. He had been used to it by now. When he hit the crowd, Caelen just pulled through despite the clutches that some of the female vampires had on his jacket. None of them attracted him. He was sure he wasn't compatible with anyone. Once he had made it through the dancefloor and to his destination, he sat down in the large chair that was deemed his. He was treated like a king amongst men. Caelen had only been sitting for several moments when something caught his eyes, more or less, someone. She was human, her skin complexion gave that away. But God, was she perfect in Caelen's eyes. Perfect for a human. He had assumed she wandered in by herself, but once he saw the male vampire with him a loud growl sounded in his throat, almost like a roar, that disturbed the whole entire club, or so he was sure. |

Everything had happened so fast that night that it was hard to believe where she was now. Actually, Holly didn't truly know where she was or why even. All she knew was that this place looked like some sort of club but everything happening within it was...eerie to say the least. There were people biting and sucking on people's necks all around, which was anything but ordinary. Holly knew what they were but just refused to admit it to herself, those kind of creatures aren't supposed to exist. Holly had been out with her cousin mere hours before now just relaxing and forgetting all the problems of their lives. Drinking, dancing, having fun with a girls night out when a group of guys had begun to talk to the two girls. These guys were attractive beyond anything Holly could imagine seeing herself with but they seemed to be so into Holly and Andrea that she was obviously flattered. A few underage drinks later, Holly and Andrea had decided to follow the boys to a club they were heading to. Holly saw no harm in it because the boys said they could get a seventeen year old into this new club. However, once inside, the two girls were separated almost instantly by the boys and that's the last she saw of Andrea. That was almost three and a half hours ago. Now as Holly sat next to one of the men from earlier, she was afraid for her life. She saw others being apparently "fed on" and dying. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what this place was but some part of Holly just refused to believe it. Sex was going on in some corners, vampires feeding in others, some were just drinking at the bar but it was obvious it wasn't alcohol. Or most of it wasn't, at least. Holly glanced up at the man who had beat her into submission with fearful eyes when he yanked her back with a handful of hair. The vampire slammed her head into the black leather couch so that she was now in a laying position before him. When he moved over her, Holly's body began to shake with fear, though she had quickly learned that fighting him was futile. He bared his fangs and smirked down at her. "Such a pretty little thing," He whispered in a smooth, seductive tone. The vampire then began to unbutton the front of her tank top before sliding the straps from her perfectly bronzed shoulders. Tears swelled up in Holly's eyes but she just closed her eyes instead. It would all be over soon. However, when he sank his fangs deep into one of her breasts, Holly cried out and her entire body arched up against him in pain. Thankfully, the feeding didn't last long though because the male was soon interrupted by one of his friends that came over. As the two vampires began to talk, he removed himself from on top of her and Holly quickly sat up. She was far too afraid to try to run because everywhere she looked, she was surrounded so instead, Holly pulled her knees to her chest and began to let her eyes wonder around the crowded club. Holly began to look for anyone who might help but every single human she saw in this club was bound by someone, none of them seemed to be going anywhere or even wanting to. Holly then felt a firm grip on her shoulder and she knew her vampire was no longer preoccupied, he was ready to continue what had started mere minutes before. Holly's thought process was interrupted by a loud growl that sounded throughout the club. She wasn't sure where it came from but whoever it was, was obviously very pissed off. |

Caelen had waited for the growl to exit his throat. Caelen was beyond pissed off now, and once he saw the vampire glance at him and then continue to feed more, he was infuriated. Caelen had lept from the large, balcony like structure he was poised upon and jumped into the crowd. Without any notice at all, Caelen had teleported from the crowd, causing a gust of wind to stir up, and then teleported behind the vampire. Caelen had cocked his head to the side once he was there, his hands balling into fists to try and control his anger. "Do you enjoy writing your own death wish?" Caelen asked him and then returned his head to its normal placement on his head. Caelen had taken in the looks of this man. He was scrawny, and certainly not fit out to be a vampire. Atleast Caelen was packed muscle. It fit his marble skin perfectly. Caelen was sure the humans could compare him to Adonis. Caelen had then shifted his gaze to the woman. The human who resembled a goddess. Her plump lips, defined jaw, chocolate eyes, and full breasts were enough to bring a man to his knees. But a vampire, that shouldn't effect them, although it did. Caelen was in complete awe. Caelen had growled once more. A loud growl just as before, though this growl caused his mouth to open and the razor like teeth to show. it was always like a roar. If the man wasn't going to respond to him, then Caelen was going to get his attention. |

Holly flinched when the vampire's fangs sank into her neck this time and he began to drink once more. She squeezed her eyes shut and felt herself feeling sleepier with each chug he took. Suddenly, the vampire ripped his teeth from her throat and spun around to meet the man who had growled before. Holly didn't know what this meant but she saw it as lions, searching for their prey. The larger one came along and obviously intimidated the other one, probably to con him out of his meal. Holly blinked a few times to clear her vision and then locked her eyes up on the larger vampire from before. There was obviously going to be quite the confrontation now when she heard her vampire reply. "I brought her here, what does it matter who you are? I worked for my meal so why can't you?" He snapped. For some reason, Holly was more afraid of the new vampire. He was a lot bigger and therefore, stronger. He also seemed to be greatly feared by the others. Holly thought her death would come much quicker and less painless with the smaller one. She was scared of the growler and when he growled again, she flinched in a cower like state. Whatever was going to happen, either way Holly knew her life would end tonight. |

Caelen had moved to the man, his fists unclenching so that he could grab the man by the collar of his shirt. With a quick pull, the man was off the woman and mere inches from Caelen's face. "If I was working for a meal, I would've got one. Find another meal." Caelen ordered and threw the man to the side. With a smirk, Caelen had gracefully dove atop the woman and teleported out of the club before the man could get back up. The one thing Caelen had forgotten to do was have a destination, now he had no idea where they were going to land. |

Holly flinched and started to scream when the larger vampire dove on her but when their bodies suddenly disappeared, she was confused. Was he saving her? Suddenly, the two reappeared and fell into an alley, god knows where. Holly fell on top of the stranger and grunted in pain from the impact. Still, she said not a word as she scrambled to her feet quickly. Holly leaned against one of the brick walls of the alley and closed her eyes. She had definitely lost a lot of blood, that was easy to tell, but she also felt a little dizzy after that teleportation. Holly forced her eyes open to look over at the vampire once again. Her shirt was still undone down to her naval, exposing her almost completely. Holly's neck and chest were both coated in her blood so it was easy to see she had lost a lot. |

"I won't hurt you," Caelen said calmly and slowly rose to the ground. "I'm a different kind of vampire." He added and then slid his jacket from his shoulders. Caelen had wrapped the jacket around the human's tiny body and then gracefully picked her up in his arms. Where to go, where to go. Caelen thought before his body teleported once more. His body appeared at the hospital with her in his arms. Caelen had quickly jogged towards the electric doors and once they opened, he moved to the desk. "I need help," Caelen said in a normal toned voice. "Assault victim, no name, no blood type, no ID." He added and then watched as the nurse ran down the hall. Moments later she had come back with a stretcher and a few techs. |

Holly draped one of her arms around the strange vampire's shoulders when he scooped her up in his arms. She hated hospitals, she dreaded them with all of her being so she really wished he would have just let her self-heal or something. She didn't feel as if she were going to pass out or anything. "I'm fine, I'm fine," Holly told the medical staff that came rushing over to put her on the stretched. Holly opened her chocolate eyes to glance over at the stranger once again. He truly did seem like he cared and that surprised her. He seemed so scary before but now, she didn't want him leaving. "Wait, wait, wait," Holly said when she saw him move away a bit. She was freaking out a bit because she knew hospitals gave her the creeps. |

"I'm not going anywhere," Caelen whispered, he doubted she could hear him, but he moved his lips and he assumed she could read that. When the staff wheeled her down the hall to give her stitches where they were needed to bandage her up otherwise, Caelen was taken to one of the desks. Although he didn't know her last name, her first name was all he knew. Holly. That name kept ringing in and out of his mind. Before he knew it, Caelen had a clipboard placed in his lap and a pen placed in his hand. With a small sigh, Caelen began to fill out the chart, guessing on most things. Name: Holly James Age: 18 Sex: Female Blood Type: O Negative Social Security Number: 147-774-262 Relation: Spouse Health Insurance Provider: None, paid in full Caelen had signed all the highlighted sections and wrote a small paragraph about what happened and how he found her. Once he was done with that, he handed it back to the nurse and was taken to the waiting room. |

As Holly was wheeled down the long, blindingly white hallway, she closed her eyes. She knew needles and a hundred thousand questions were coming next. When she was younger, her appendix had burst and she had been rushed to the emergency room. It was a fiasco because she was over at a friend's house when it happened and most of the things Holly was asked, she didn't know. At last, Holly was taken into a room with a doctor and many nurses. Within minutes, she was being stitched up and after thirty or forty minutes, she was laid in a bed with her neck and chest bandaged after they had been stitched. She had quite a few stitches on one of her breasts so that wasn't a pleasant experience at all. When the doctor left to inform her "husband" apparently, Holly brushed it off as nothing and let her eyes slip closed. She wanted to know this stranger's name and thank him for saving her life. |
