This is Steampunk its totally about the accessories~!

First and foremost are the goggles. These are an essential steampunk piece. Now you can buy them of course but this forum is all devoted to how the average college kid can obtain such awesomeness.

GOGGLES
First off Threadbanger has an extremely well put together film using commodities you can buy at Walmart. I made two of these this summer for approximately $12 total. Here is another option for making steam punk goggles that require different ingredients that you may or may not prefer. Looking back this way might save a bit of work with the painting and staining techniques I used for the baseball used for the first one.
If you are not of the crafty mindset there are places where you can buy these guys. In a quick search, Steampunk Attire revealed to have moderately priced goggles listed on their website. Of course there are other such options or ebay and amazon which also carry these much needed accessories.
You can also accessorize these accessories I know Morlock Enterprises has inserts that you can deck out your lenses with as well as secondary lenses that extend out from the headpiece and appear as a secondary tinted lens that they were selling at conventions.
