Ashford Academy is a private academy situated in Tokyo, and is maintained by the Ashford Foundation, a philanthropic organization mainly involved with education. While it accepts Elevens and Honorary Britannians as students, it cannot completely rid the overwhelming bias against them.

Covering only a fraction of the real-world Tokyo, the Tokyo Settlement is the administrative center of all Britannian activities within Area 11. The Viceroy's Palace being located within the settlement, this is one of the most heavily fortified areas of the Holy Empire of Britannia.
