On the CDB's we celebrate by posting a thread for birthday wishes. If you would like us to include you go to your profile. There you will find a place on the bottom to state your birthdate. You have three choices. Show full birthdate, only date and month or do not show. Choose one of the two options -either show day and month or show full birthdate. You have to chose one of those for it to show on the calendar. The date will then appear on the calendar on the top of our board. We can then post a thread for the celebration, .The list will now start from scratch. Do not think because we have posted wishes in the past you will be included. If you do not have your birthday listed a "Birthday Thread" will not be posted. ![]() This is a new option and we think it will be great. You can check out this feature by going to the calendar. There you will see a little birthday cake on some dates. Click on the cake and it will tell you whose birthday it is that day. BTW, The numbers like this (00) next to the name are not age but what number means is still to be determined. |

Hi Liken "BTW, The numbers like this (00) next to the name are not age but what number member they are as they joined the board." Next to my name on the calendar it is #66,which I will be on my next birthday, but the number that comes up when I post (on the left hand side where my name is,) is #16. Does that mean I was #16 to sign onto the new board? Geez, I hope I'm making sense. I'm confusing myself. LOL Thanks ADMIN: Carol, you were member #16. You will notice that my number is 1. ~Jan Edited by JanWhatever, Nov 22 2008, 07:19 PM.

ummm Carol. I'll have to try and figure that out, possibly the number on the calendar refers to where your name is on the members list which is in alphabetical order? Do we have an icon for scratching head? We do. ~Jan I just saw this, isn't it cute?

I have editted the post to say the (00) is still to be determined. If anyone knows tell me. I'm number (2) and I know I'm a little older than that. |

Liken, it looks like its referring to your member number. ETA: you'd think I would know better than to try to answer a question. Perhaps, its referring to the number of members who have birthdays on that day? I'm shutting up now!

It is the number that indicates the order in which you joined. I am #1, Liken is #2, etc... It is starting over for this new board. Coincidentally, I was the first to join on the old board, and Liken was second.

Thanks Jan and Liken - I guess that means I was #66 to join up. Just a coincidence that it will be my 66th birthday also, although I still feel like 12 with this giddy crush I STILL have on OMC! LOL

I'm not sure, but I think the number after the name only seems to show up if you put your full birthday in your profile. I have the birth year hidden from public viewing. When I went to the calendar and clicked on my birthday it shows my name only and no number shows up after my name. Since I hadn't used my full birthday, I started to check others and it seems that it might be this: if you have your ENTIRE birthday in your profile, it will compute what age you will be on your next birthday and show it directly after your screen name. Hope this helps, if this is right.

Hi Krispie, That could very well be since I do have the full date displayed in the profile. However, no big deal about my age showing; it is what it is! I'm just glad I was able to make the transition here smoothly from the old board. I thought for sure I would have problems since computer tech is not my thing, but thanks to Jan and Liken they have made it pretty simple to join up and have infinite patience with me.

Jan has graciously made a wonderful section for the birthday wishes in the "Information" part of the new CDB's. Be sure to check the Birthdays out as you come on the CDB's. We are so fortunate to have Jan as our BIG MOD, she is very hands on and supports our every need and concern. Did you know she wanted to beat me once upon a time for calling her the "Big Mod", And I still do. ~Jan Edited by JanWhatever, Nov 26 2008, 12:04 PM.

SweetT, the easiest way to do colors and sizes is to first type your message, then highlight it by dragging your cursor across the words you want to color or size and holding down the left mouse key as you drag it. Then, click on the arrow at the side of the the Color box above your post and choose the color you want to make your text. Do the same with "bigger" or "smaller".
