Well we survived all the Halloween shoppers at Walgreens. There were some clever costumes on some of the customers this year. I worked so did not treat this year at my door.
Just wanted to share this...OMG...I dreamed last night I got a large envelope in my mailbox...I opened it and there on the front was a picture of Jerome and it said...
"See I told you that you are going to get sick of seeing us in 2010" It was a calendar and inside pages was Clay. GEESH! hope this is a sign maybe I am psychic?lol
Yeah right!...he did tell someone who asked him if he would ever do a calendar again and he said something like we might work on something or we are working on something! Anyone rememeber that? Would be nice but this is already Nov. it better get out soon if it is going to happen for the New Year ..like the Christmas book..coming next year...too late for this year. Geesh! could happen then too...we can hope anyway...anything ...something .what evah!..lol
Anyone going to the Golf Tournament?
He won't be out on his birthday this year to celebrate it with him it seems as when he was tourning. Somebody needs to find out his address and everyone load up his post office box with CARDS...isn't there a fan mail box at OFC..could happen!!
That would be funny!...have to have a truck deliever them to his house..LOL...
He is probably gettting the Golf Tournament set up now..just not hearing much about where he is.

SweetT, that is quite a dream you had! It would be awesome if it were to come true. :smiley

Some fans are donating to the National Inclusion Project and adding the message that it is in honor of Clay's birthday. I believe many people are going to do this on November 30th instead of sending a card. I am wondering if he would appreciate the donations more? :dunno I think each person will probably do whatever they feel the best about. :thumbsup

It has been forever since I have posted here, but we have been really busy lately.
The puppy keeps us hopping, plus we are working on a wooden clothes cabinet for our son
that has shelves on one side and a dowel for hanging up clothes on the other side.
We have the doors on now, and have to do a final sanding, and then the last coat of
stain/varathane (combined item), add the handles and put the backboard on and we'll
be done. We didn't have a pattern, just made it to meet the dimensions that he needed.

We also had a trip to Oklahoma on Thursday, November 12 (with the puppy) and came home on Saturday, the 14th (actually got home Sunday morning). Our daughter is coming back to Wisconsin to live for a while. She thinks she will probably go back to Oklahoma in 6 months or so, not really sure (so I am excited, but trying to keep my emotions in check as it is probably just for a short time) ... but for now she will be back here, and in time for Thanksgiving. :smile

We also had been doing apartment searching for her. We did the walk throughs with her on the phone and then we'd send her pictures of the places when we got home. It has been a very interesting and busy time around here.

She plans to leave for Wisconsin on Tuesday. She will have her two springer spaniels for the trip, so it will be challenging, to say the least. For our return trip, we rented a 5x8 trailer and brought her things back home. We had never towed anything with the Bravada before, but the trailer towed perfectly behind it. You couldn't even tell it was there, unless you looked in the mirror or noticed how much slower you go with a trailer attached. Backing up, is a different story than going forward, wow that is challenging ... well, ask hubby ... I'm sure he will tell you it is much more challenging. I didn't drive the vehicle with the trailer on it, but I would need hours of practice to do that, even if going forward. LOL! I would learn if I have to though, as it really did tow well.

The trip home took 20 hours and 20 minutes (including all the normal stops for gas, food, etc. and to give Rocky time to stretch his legs and de-energize him a little now and then). We drove straight through, other than a 30 minute rest for hubby. I couldn't sleep while he rested, but could sit and relax during that time. Rocky was already crate trained before we left on this trip, and he was as good as gold in his crate for the trip. He is now quite the seasoned traveler. hehe

After we got home, and then resting for about 5 hours, we then took all of her things we had just packed up from Oklahoma and got them settled in her new place. Our son helped us with this part, which helped a lot. He also kept the other two dogs while we made the trip down there. They are older, so potty calls didn't have to be as frequent as for the puppy. Rocky really enjoyed meeting our daughter's springers, Gunner and Abbie. They got along wonderfully together. Just like old friends.

I will be helping our daughter get settled into her new place this week before and after Thanksgiving, so I won't be around much.

Today, I worked on my magnets ... I sat and sanded edges on all of the recent ones I've been working on, to give them sort of a rustic look. Then I sprayed a varathane varnish on them. Now it is time to go and bring them in, as they have finished drying. Take care everyone.
If I don't post for a while, I'm just crazy busy, but I think of all of you often.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving. Love you all. :heart
