Clay's Papa passed away today. I just finished watching Clay sing Beautiful Star of Bethlehem to his Papa and you can hear his Papa responding to Clay's singing. I am so sad. My heart goes out to Clay and his family.

Thanks for posting this Susan. I just left a message of condolence over at
the OFC. I had a feeling all week that something was wrong. I didn't know
what, but it was just so quiet. This is very sad. I know Clay loved his Papa dearly.

I just went to OFC and can't get in. They probably closed down the site for the rest of the night. Only the cover is there with a picture of Clay with his Papa and grandmother and it says "In Loving Memory of Joseph Alvis Aiken. Just so so sad.

Susan was kind enough to explain how to get into the OFC message board. So thank you Susan/NYM1023!!!!!

Per Susan:

Where the cover photo is for In Loving Memory of Joseph Alvis Aiken right below the birthdate and date of passing there is a line that says

2009 Clay Aiken. Please read our Privacy Policy & Terms of Service. Click on Privacy Policy.

It will bring you to the page where you can click on Fan HQ. Click on the message boards and go to The Man and there is a thread (scroll down little) where you can express your condolences.

Thank you Jan for that version :kleenex . At the time of the JNT5 I downloaded all the videos of BSOB from the fans who took :clack of that performance. There were quite a few special moments during that tour and this was #1 for me when he sang to his Papa.

Is anyone besides me having a problem posting condolences to Clay. I went through all of the instructions, but, when I try to post, it won't let me!! Getting VERY frustrated. It says I'm not signed in when I am!!

Natal, As Susan posted aboave, sign off of the OFC, then log on again and when the memorial comes up, go down to the very bottom of the page where it says "2009 Clay Aiken. Please read our Privacy Policy & Terms of Service." Click on where it says, Privacy Policy.

It will bring you to the page where you can click on Fan HQ. Click on the message boards and go to The Man and there is a thread (scroll down little) where you can express your condolences. Let us know if it works out for you. I, too, was frustrated to no end until
I tried that. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it. I was FINALLY able to figure it all out. Then, I went to YouTube to watch the video again of that Christmas a few years ago when Clay sang, "Beautiful Star of Bethleham" {I don't think I spelled that right} for his Papa. I've always loved that video, and, now I'm sure it has even more meaning for Clay and his family. I sure do hope that he has seen it.
