Hi CDBS,

I went to the American Idol tour concert here in Boston last night. My daughter had given me 2 tickets for Mother's Day. So, I'll give you a quick recap. The show started off with Michael - he was very good!!
Then came Megan - awful! She didn't sing very well. All the guys who were on American Idol on TV were all much improved at this concert!! Then came Scott - he sang 2 songs and was good! Then was Lil. She sang 3 rock songs and the last one was a Beyonce, dance song. She was just a little better than Megan. Then Matt - well he was excellent and very entertaining! The audience loved him and screamed pretty loud!
Then came Anoop - very very good! (I can't remember all the songs they sang!) Allyson was next - she was just wonderful! Danny came on next and was just great! Soooo each time the next Idol was to perform they put it up on the screen their number. Everyone knew who was next - ADAM!!! The entire crowd (lots of young girls) went NUTS! Lots of screaming; everyone stood up. And there he was - he was wonderful! and very cute! His hair was all slicked back - he came on looking sort of like Elvis with tails on. Sang a rock song, then Mad World (the ballad). Then he did the rock duet with Allyson - they were terrific. Then he threw off the tails swinging his whole butt..... audience was screaming (I'm not a screamer so I didn't). Then came Kris, the Idol and he received a good reception and was very good - but Adam was the star of the show. We had a good time.

I thought you'd enjoy the recap.

(STILL LOVE OUR CLAY MORE!!!!!)

We went to the American idol concert last night in Cleveland (there were lots of seats left). I really agree with Sandy and her recap. I thought they all were much better performer and really moved around the stag. I thought Anoop was very, very good also. When Adam came out there were lots of screams but I still remember when Clay came out at his AI concert and it was deafening and went on almost all of his first song. Clay wins.
I and the 7 friends I was with felt there was no one there that they would go to see at a solo concert. I think Adam is extremely talented but I don't like his hard rock songs. I do love his Mad World.

I'm saving my money for Clay concerts !!!!

The one bad thing was that the band was so LOUD we could hardly hear them sing.

Thanks for the recaps Sandy and Carrie. It sounds like it was so exciting.

I still kick myself for not being interested in AI in the beginning and therefore,
missed out on the AI tour when Clay was new on the scene. I've seen the
clack of the '02 season tour and heard the thunderous screams and shouts,
but being there must have been phenomenal!

I agree with you Carol C. Although I had watched Clay during season 2 of American Idol in 2003. And my parents were going to take me to the American Idol 2 Tour stop in my hometown of Columbus Ohio to see and hopefully meet Clay aand the others but unfortunately my father's health had gotten terribly worse and he passed away on the day that Clay and the Idols were to be here. So being able to relive the Clack-clips from the Tour made it all worth it as if I was actually there. From that moment on I had the opportunity to see Clay in concert and I meet as many fans of his now special friends of mine who are all too special to forget!

BTW ... I wanted to see this past season's Idol winner, Kris Allen and my mother told me if she could of gotten off of work she would of been able to take me. We weren't able to go so I hope I can find someone who might of gone and got videos of it so I could see Kris in action! I'M INTERESTED IN THE COLUMBUS IDOL STOP~
